I thought the best one was the one where the film maker did his own sound effects-truly a stunning effort- it was released (uncaged) quite a while ago ,and I have not been able to find & download it again( sob!)

Was thinking about "Patch Fiction" a few days ago. Will be good to see it again.

Requiem was the first IL-2 movie I watched and so far I still think that it is the best.

The combination of the camera returning to the flightline showing the diminishing squadron strength after each combat mission and the musical score make it really stand out for me.

I had absolutely no idea that there were this many movies featuring IL-2 around - I will certainly have to get some more as I only have about 20 or so.

'PROPHECY' is by far the best fb movie by far IMHO. Definitely worth downloading (if you have broadband)

I'm on the side with Bearcat, the flying in Salvation is outstanding, its still fun to watch.

BTW Does anyone know what group did the third song on "Stille Nacht in Stalingrad?" It is an amazing peace and I have been looking everywhere for it without any luck, I've bought a few CD's that I can't return looking for them.

Yes, that music is from the movie The Thin Red Line.

jamesdietz, do you have any more info on the film? Any further recollection of it? If it's in my collection I'd be willing to look for it for you.

Secret Weapon over Stalingrad would have been a good choice to include in the poll. I had considered it.

"Flying for the First Time" is another great one. :D

IL2FBGUNCAM by Raspall, can't think of which one this is. Which one is it again? :(

I forgot what a good movie "Another Day" is...

"By the Dawn's Early Light" was fun to watch again, too.

I have only seen a hand full but my fav so far is "Legend Bf109". Good intro, cool music, lots of action and a strong closing. Every time I watch it I get goose bumps.

MICHAPMA-Well lets see - it was an extremely funny , badly made mish mash of Il-2 scennes interupted ( if I remember properly by a few clips from Monty Python movie or something...) & voice over - well sound effects by the film maker of himself blowing rasberries to imitate engine or gun noises...there - that about does it.Sounds great huh??? It was!
