With the release a few weeks away I was wondering if UBI/Maddox Games has posted the recommended system specs for Pacific Fighters for use with Perfect water settings? Also I'm curious what machine UBI and France Simulations is using for the videos and what frame rates you guys are getting? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

You're funny aren't you?? Of course that rig will run PF!!! I have no plans to upgrade at present and my rig is going to run PF just fine on medium settings. I have only a XP-2100 on an old 266FSB mobo with 1GB of PC2700 running at 2100 speed and an old TI-4600 Ultra. It is going to run PF just fine. Maybe this post is just your unusual way of bragging about your powerful system???

This is probably a stupid question however how much impact does RAM have on FPS?

There is no system currently on the planet that will run PF completely maxed out in ALL situations.

Maybe 2 more years!

No, just wanted an honest opinion. Some times even in IL-2:FB I can get some slow downs in perfect with a lot of mess is happening and so on. I just would like to know if during large battles perfect could run reasonably well.

As for my monitor, I have a 21" Samsung 997DF flatscreen CRT monitor with a .20mm dot pitch. It can do 1024x768x32 @ 100Hz and 1280x960 @ 85Hz.

As for memory... As far as IL-2:FB is concerned, I've noticed that more memory = faster load times and less pauses in game during large battle action.

No worries, Argon...computers are like girlfriends - somebody always has a hotter one.

Full pretty mode with max res. will be beyond most systems for a little while yet...especially where the combat is heavy with flak and aircraft.

But you should be well satisfied with your rig.
I hope to be able to afford enough 'tang to make PF work for me soon too.

I don't much care for 1600x1200... Too **** small for my eyes. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I usually play IL-2:FB at 1024x768 on-line and 1280x960 off-line and I'm plenty happy with that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes - thats all I'm saying...everyone has a different bottom line of how they want it to look vs what they can really afford.

And hopefully anyone that spends money today will be buying hardware that can be expanded reasonably well for BoB if need be.
