Was it created using the combined? I have lots of corruptions in textures now that I have aep/pf combined when I play stuff created on AEP prior to PF combined.

Whether it was created before or after the combined installation won't make one iota of difference to yur ingame display.

The mission (.mis) file is the same before and after (assuming only v2.04 objects were used and not those from PF as well)

A .mis file is merely a script - you can open one in notepad and take a look - so it won't affect things like graphical corruption etc...

Then I truly wish you could please explain that to my computer because for several weeks now, myself and several friends of mine encounter cockpit and skins corruptions when ever we attemp yo play missions created with AEP in our AEP/PF combined.

I'm not saying your incorrect as I know you have forgotten more about mission building than I have ever learned Sir but in this instance I don't have to disagree with you...our computers diasgree for us. It only happens when A.connected on a server and B.With missions created using FB/AEP prior to release of PF .

We can then play those same corrupted texture missions either by creating a server and playing alone with AI running all other planes besides your own or single player and they are problem free. These same corruptions have been reported in tech and and other forums.

I don't know squat about (mis)files or scrits but I know when my default or customs skins look like they are made of army men green plastic and I know when it occurs,ONLY on missions/campaigns created using FMB from the FB/AEP 2.04 .....Now if we could only find a cure.

Dubbo thought he was onto a fix when he switched out any given plane set to another then switching back to original planes again but after several hours of testing the same corruptions occured on the same hit and miss basis as before.

Ummm...thats impossible.

The corruption only occurs on pre-PF objects? Ummm....I'd say you had a very bad install. Largely thats impossible...but I guess it could happen.

Time to uinstall PF and AEP. Manually delete the directory, manually delete the registry entries (if you have to), and then reinstall. Do not install any patches until after you have installed PF btw...the old patches are not necessary.

Anyways, these missions were created before PF came out. The last few while I was waiting for the game to be released here in Canada. So if you still have AEP 2.04 it should work just fine.

I've tested most of them on PF 3.0 and noticed only a few wonky things. The B-25s behavior is different in one of the missions...but aside from that should be alright.

Thanks for the kind words Extreme! Much appreciated. Hopefully everyone can have some fun with this http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I have had at least 3 people contact me saying they had the same graphical errors in the German campaign of El Alamein. They were playing single player offline. They were created entirely in FB+ACE and were not opened with PF installed in the FMB.
The errors you are reporting appear to be a driver issue with Radeon 4.11 & above drivers. The 4.1s do not have this problem. At least offline anyway. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If you or anyone would be so kind as to host a track or 3 I can show you just how possible this is and Bird Brain in the post following yours is almost 99.9 % correct about these errors ocurring with all the drivers past the 4.10. I know of 1 unfortunate individual who has had the same errors with the 4.10 but HH Beebop seems to be the acception to that rule.

I can it seems, revert to 4.10 or 4.9 and immediatly clear up all the grahical errors this fix also seems to work for almost everyone else excluding the afore mentioned.

The real weirdness is why only missions that were built with FB/AEP anf why only when connected online? As I said you can start up a server. pick any plane for yourself, let AI handle all the rest and problem free. Take that same coop mission join up with any 2 or more people and errors galore.

As for bad installs I don't think so. It started with the the release of the 4.11's and has manifested in 3 complete new installations AEP/PF combined, the 3.01. and then in a trial version of the 3.02m. I always do clean installs when trying a new patch so I can determine if any bugs or errors are occuring that wern't apperent in the last version. With the last 2 I went so far as to delete all saved camp. and skins to prove to myself that it wasn't something carrying over from a previous installation.

I don't fancy myself a tech wiz but I've had IL-2 from the beginning and am fairly proficient in the uninstall/re-install registry cleaning departments. If it was just me I would be inclined to agree with you that I have porked something up badly during my installs but its happened to quite a few others who have posted those same errors in the tech help ever sense PF became availabe/the 4,11's were released.

As for the 2.04 working just fine,,,,,yes it did, flawless. My post and issues arn't about 2.04 but 3.00 and up. I never had these issues with FB/AEP other than the rectanguler sun and block clouds that happened to many and ATI semms to feel it fixed with the official 4.12 and that would seem to be a seperate issue alltogether.

It seems for now the only answers directed to those of us who have these errors are the usual "You got a bad driver DL" I ve Dl;d the 4.11 4 seperate times, the 4.12 betas twice(they work fantastic in all my other games btw) and"You must have had a bad install" read the above on complete uninstall reg edits and clean installations"

Are you using the new EXE file by chance? This may be related to your video drivers...there's some problems there too.

I'm using the 4.7 OGL file...it works great.

Negative on the new EXE file, was nothing but a headache. Currently usig the 3.01m but same errors occured with 3.02m. I will fortunatly be able to enjoy all of your work in these missions because as I said above the weirdness only occurs in coops for me, never been an issue playing alone and I apoligize for forgetting to TY for a well crafted set of missions.
