Give em time guys, I would rather they tested it and got all the minor glitches sorted before its release, It might cut down all the post release whining threads too.....

You can never please everyone, thats life, but at least let them get it all sorted and ready..... I personally don't care if its not released for months, what i do like is it to load on my PC No Problem.
I have seen several posts saying the patch is done why is it not released, well although the patch is maybe ready, that does not infer it is or has been tested to ensure commonality amongst systems etc.....

What would you prefer a Patch complete and ready to go or something that has glitches with this and that and wont load onto your PC..... I know my choice, ohh and remember this is being done for us for free, as have several other patches, remember that when you have a moan at them over it, they dont have to do them, infact it costs them both time and money to produce them.

I agree with you Tony. I must admit, I like to read the "patch" postings though. It's a good study in psycology. The world seems to be unstable. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I agree with you both! It is interesting to read about all the complaining.

Yup. Its not like we don't have anything to play with while we wait for it.

That's why I have a firm policy against posting in any patch-related threads. Wait...oh ****!

Agreed...lets keep it mildly chilled around here. We can wait for good things. I'd rather they spend their time getting us the goods than being hasty.

The people who want the patch right now will be the same people complaining the day after that it should have been finished before it was released....so yeah http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It's not the patch itself but the lack
of communication. If they just gave a little
info. most of this would cease and there would be smiles all round.Doesn't take much.I'm
afraid they are loosing my respect and that
took longer than 2 weeks.

With all the things wrong at the core of IL-2's flight modeling, damage modeling, weapons modeling.... you'd think people wouldn't want to see NEW bugs.

Hopefully, every extra day the patch is NOT delivered means a possible fix or solution to the things that are wrong with the product now.

I would answer that with putting this thought in your mind, ok say they said we will release the patch on the 16th then last minute they find problems and have to modify it so release another date say the 24th as the 24th approaches they find the update on the 16th is not compatible with xyz card so it gets put back even further................. which would you prefer a lack of info or being messed about, or the feeling of being?....

I may be naive but I have enough faith in UBI to believe they will release the patch when they have fully tested and fixed any possible glitches. If UBI has some nefarious reason for withholding the patch then that is their right and nothing to do with me. Marketing logic dictates it must be in their best interests to release a GOOD patch as soon as they can. I honestly don't understand or care about all this other stuff being ascribed to them.

I have waited years for a sim such as this. I have no problem waiting for the patch.

Too bad they weren't a little more concerned with the "flawlessness" of the original AEP realease than that of the patch http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

well - theres a little bit of everything in this thread hmm?

I can wait forever - viva la patch !
I can wait - but they better not screw it up !
I've waited long enough dammit. patch now!
Humph - either way the thing is porked !
Why won't they tell us whats going on?!!
Humph - wouldn't need a patch if they had done it right in the first place !

And there are only a few posts here.

some people say that the anticipation of a good thing can be as good as or better than the thing itself...

STFU NOOB!

There.. now we've got most everything covered I think, excluding a debate on video cards and what plane won the war.

See, that's where you're wrong.

Nobody has asked a question about an unrelated UbiSoft game title, or about how to unlock special planes in Il*2, or asked where to get a cracked copy of FB. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The P-47 won the war, even with it's poorly modeled roll rate and 50 cal's.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif There now we have a fully rounded thread. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif I can wait for the patch honestly, I just wish they would never ever say that the patch will be out "shortly" after release. It messes with ones mind you know.

As I said before,I can wait for the patch but
a little common courtesy goes a long way,the opposite usually lights a short fuse.I have been in business a long time and I allways let
my customers know how the product on which they are waiting is progressing. They may not be happy but they understand that you are keeping them informed and are still doing your best for them.It isn't rocket science just good manners. If they ener give us some news my reaction will be"there, that didn't hurt did it". http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

All I want to know is how it will effect 1.22. If there will be fixes in 1.22? If theres a new 1.22 server? Seems like a sensible question to me since I'll be running a non aces server still
