Hello all

I simply took an hour to test 4 drivers with 3dMark2005. Here's my detailed config :

- AMD Athlon 2600 XP+ FSB333
- 512 Mo Ram PC2700
- nVidia 6800 GT (back to GT-normal frequencies, for the test)
- Hard disk Seagate 120 Go 8mo cache

The results are :

71.25 :

3DMark Score 4572 3DMarks
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 19,3 FPS
GT2 - Firefly Forest 13,1 FPS
GT3 - Canyon Flight 24,2 FPS

71.84 :

3DMark Score 4598 3DMarks
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 19,4 FPS
GT2 - Firefly Forest 13,2 FPS
GT3 - Canyon Flight 24,3 FPS

71.90 :

3DMark Score 4544 3DMarks
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 19,4 FPS
GT2 - Firefly Forest 13,4 FPS
GT3 - Canyon Flight 23,2 FPS

76.10 :

3DMark Score 4684 3DMarks
GT1 - Return To Proxycon 19,8 FPS
GT2 - Firefly Forest 13,6 FPS
GT3 - Canyon Flight 24,3 FPS

As you can see the offset between the drivers is not really huge (about 3% between 76.10 and 71.90). Note that all of this drivers have the temp bug, which seems to not really be a bug, but a real temp increase http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Keep the side of your case and the temp increase shouldn't be a problem.

There is no major issue. I use 76.10 on Leadtek 6800 Ultra. The bug is fixed by slightly overcloking in 2D from 400 to 403MHz with coolbits. All temps will go down to normal! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Works on 6800 Ultra!
Temp issue is known by nvidia and will be fixed in the new driver release.

****, didn't think the temp bug was in the 71.25 drivers. Sorry, Sinclair. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Not a problem, I have this bug in every driver after the 66.93 (but can we call that "drivers" lol http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif ).

Im also amazed to see that in the latest official drivers (online since today), the f****g bug has not been fixed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Agreed. It's ridiculous.

BTW, I found the 71.20 driver, but haven't installed it yet.
