I wonder If It's possible to use the wheelmouse, instead my joystick acceleration touch...
so on, I could drive the plane with right hand on joytisk
and drive the mouse with lkeft ahnd, to care the view, speed, and maybe the other touch, fo guns, or rightclick to lock a plane....

thanx for your answer... but I'd like other opinion, please... Are we so alone to wanna use the mouse.... (still the best tool for looking around us... more than all the other systems... (trackIR, LCD glasses...))
I use a Logitech MX 700... so If anyone can make run the scroll under PF, please help me... maybe there's a way to emulate this!!!

I tried a track ball for Mouse Look, but didn't like it. I stick with regular mouse view.

Tip:: In the game Input Menu you can increase mouse sensitivity. Default is 1.0 (maybe 2.0) but I use 4.0 to 5.0. This allows me to scan the entire sky with minimum wrist movement and without having to pick up and put the mouse back to scan more. Maximum setting is 10.0.

Be Sure to set mouse sensitivity to lower before you do FMB or QMB work inside the game, or your mouse cursor gets rocket boost.

Also, map elevator trim to mouse wheel. Works fantastic.

Yes. I developed the habit of using the mouse to look around instead of the hat switch so I have to use the mouse. Now I use the mouse wheel for throttle and the buttons for view changes (FOV and gunsite toggle).

I use the throttle lever on my sidewinder joystick for elevator trim and it works very nicely for that. Its a pseudo-HOTAS setup but it does the job.

As Lexx states above adjusting your mouse sensitivity can help quite a bit....However, I could never coordinate myself to use the mouse well enough with my left hand so bought a Logitech Marble mouse ($15)...and now have both as if I'm riding as a gunner I like the regular mouse in my right hand, but for view all other situations like the marble for my left (plus it gave me 4 extra buttons).

No doubt because it is a marble mouse/trackball however, for myself I found "decreasing" sensitivity to between .75-.5 works better as it allows me to keep my view on the target better/smoother, and due to it being a trackball the movement seems accentuated.

Point being? If you use the mouse to look with play with the sensitivity some. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

thanx for answering...
but, please RiesenSchnauzer , or someone else who did... how can yuo set up the mouse wheel for throttle, under PF, cuz... the game didn't recognize mousewheel, when defining a new touch for throttle... Is there a way, to enter this manually, in the *.ini file, or an extra software to use the mouse like that??
THANX!!

Mouse wheel has always been recognized as throttle.

Go to hotas, power, and when making assignment, scroll the mouse wheel. apply. all done. which way you scroll the wheel determines if power is increased/decreased.

lol Frenchminem,i compassionate http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Like you,i wonder how i can set the mouse wheel for propeller pitch by example...

I have also a logitech keyboard with a wheel on the left,near the "escape" key;

I really would like to use it for engine power or prop-pitch,but the game recognize that wheel as it was the up-arrow or down-arrow key http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

So,i have two wheels i can't use in this magnificent game.http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

The mouse one (logitech MX700 like you Frenchminem http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif)
And the keyboard one (Logitech "Internet Navigator Keyboard Special Edition" (http://www.clubic.com/photo/00032325.jpg))

May we have some help or a piece of advice?

Thanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

yes... office, but, in French it's the same word...

SO, I've tryed the tool.... and, no result...
really strange!!!
I succeed to give throttle - for the MOUSE 4 button, but the MOUSE 3, didn't react, as the others too...
the way the tool gives the action is strange...
I even tested the mouseware advanced configuration.. but nothing there too!
i'm so sorry!!!
maybe there's no solution this time!!!

Arggghh, that's why i didn't want to install them!
I was doubtful about the famous mouseware by logitech, which is not reliable for most users...

Thanks for your try! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
