Wildcat out turns both.

Hellcat is the better turner at low alt but neither aircraft are suggested for straight up turn battles. All three are better energy fighters with a decent turn to be used only for last second of an attack to gain position for firing.

Wildcat outturns just about any Allied plane.

Hellcat outturns Corsair. If you are fighting German planes, turn, a lot. In my experience, they can't compete.

I would agree the Wildcat outturns just about any US plane in a sustained turn. As far as Hellcat vs Corsair I feel the Corsair can sustain a turn longer then the Hellcat. And main reason I would choose the Corsair over Hellcat is for one reason and one reason alone...Clean glass. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

A Hellcat can definitely out turn a Corsair, it just depends who's flying the Hellcat. My squad is a bunch of devoted Cat drivers, and time and time again we outturn Corsairs in turn and burn battles (even against accomplished Hog drivers). Its all dependent on the pilot.

Corsair is still the deadlier fighter....its chalked upto speed. The Hellcat handles nicer but its not quite as fast.

Hellcats fighting Corsairs? You fly on UBI dont ya? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif At full flap the Corsair can sustain the slow speed turn longer. Even without the flaps as you see below the Corsair still wins slightly depending on speed.

F6F-5@350kph Turn time at 1,000m {sec}* 22.5
F4U-1D@365kph Turn time at 1,000m {sec}* 22.3

*This is without any flaps added*
