I was looking through the options in Il2 1946 and decided to look through the 200 single missions. But I saw that a lot of the planes have only one mission. And most had generic names like 'convoy cover.' Where's the variety? I'm a bit disappointed with this game. Or just confused.

Play a campaign. You can download hundreds of user-made stuff or use the ones that came with the game. See the link below for access to one of the sites that hosts a lot of campaigns, single missions, skins, etc.

But the sum of all the single missions is really about 300?

You can always use the Full Mission Builder and make your own missions.

You just added 100 missions to the number you're looking for http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I just looked, and I didn't go through the menus in the sim, I checked the single mission files. There's got to be 50 for the US Navy alone...I didn;t count them, but I do not find it hard to believe there are 200 missions

the problem you're seeing is not a lack of variety...actually it's the opposite. There are so many single mission folders that you only see 4 or 5 missions for most of them

The available missions however, number in the thousands. And almost all of them are free. The community makes a staggering amount of missions and campaigns, almost all of them easily available for free download...as well as skins, too

Most of the advertised missions are contained within the campaign modes. Check the campaigns out...some are dynamic in that they are randomly generated and others are hand made. Ultimately it doesn't matter what shipped with the game as you can download tons more.

Try this: www.mission4today.com (http://www.mission4today.com)

Brilliant site. I have all of my missions on there and many many other mission designers in the community have their stuff up there too. The game ships with the same tools the developer used to create missions and campaigns so playability in singleplayer is almost limitless.

That was a typo. I really meant to say 300.
