I don't know much about computer programming and I have never seen anything about how much work it takes to add an aircraft to this game.

For example if a model comes in to Oleg which needs no editing what happens next?
How is a cockpit made to work and how long does it take?
I have heard a little about axis of movement but how do they work and how long to set up?
How much testing does a single plane take to setup?
Do they have to be tested on every map?
How much work does it take to set up bombs and rockets etc?
I am sure people can think up other questions.

If anyone with knowlegde of progamming could answer it would help people understand the work needed to make this game or a patch.

This is the place where most of the 3rd party modellers hang out. check it, theres a lot of nice articles to deepen your knowledge on modelling for this sim.

Jippo did a great article on the amount of work that went into his Ju-88 cockpit (which is in limbo somewhere at the minute), and I think it was at Netwings. Unfortunately the last time I looked, all the images had broken - but it was a very good article!

far more than anyone asking this type of question would be willing to put in.

I agree. That was one heck of an article, and gave me a deeper appreciation of what it takes to bring a plane into this sim.

There are a few talanted and dedicated individuals that comprise the list of folks who contribute to this game.

I know I'll never pi$$ and moan about what plane is or isn't in the game because of this article.

Hats off to the 3rd party......... AND first party http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif .....modelers.
