Does anyone know if it would be possible to play a lan or internet game in the same u-boat?
http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif that would be cool
People could start up a clan, and they could compete with other clans. just a thought. for you modders out there.

which brings up a good question.. how will the u-boats communicate?
text messages on screen? which will kill the realism for me.. i think i'll stick with offline play http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

if text messages are only available while on visual range, and the speed of the message is reduced to the max speed of a morse light, it will be all right for me. Or if out of visual range, messages get only feasible via radio, still being a good deal for me.

in SH2 (&DC) communication was done via morse-radio.

Of course these "chat-transmissions" could be intercepted - that was one reason, why it was quite fun to play DC with unexperienced players. They kept reporting and discussing while there were pinned down http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I can only guess that this will be handled the same in SH3. Maybe they have morse-lights for close distance, but how many times did that happen in the open sea!?

LOL! Thats funny, I like that. As for the topic at hand, probably one of the main reasons I'm buying SH3 is for the LAN wolf pack options. I personally don't care how they let us communicate as long as there is a way. Hopefully it will have options to adjust the realism according to what the user wants. If somone just wants to send a message anywhere on the globe, then good. If someone wants to buy a USB morse code machine and send it via that, then good.
