Look at this site

http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/8217/fgun/fgun-in.html

I wonder if those figures matches the ones used in IL-2 and FB?

For example the mig 3 had one 12.7 mm and two 7.62 mm MG:s with the Weight of Fire of 1.55 kg/sec and 545 as muzzle velocity.

The FW A3 had 5.20 for weight of fire and 1210 as muzzle velocity.

The weak armed Me-F1 had 1.04 and 420 wich I think matches the flight model.

Much interested reading for the techincal interested.

It is a rather good site, a pretty thorough examination of the subject.

It also makes clear the relative merits of the main weapon types used, in terms of perferance and weight.

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - Gunther Rall
