View Full Version : Killing civilians (funny, maybe)

In AC1, I killed the beggar and lepers left and right. So as opposed to the first game, I tried my hardest to follow the creed, and not kill any non-assassination-marked civilians in AC2.

However...

When I finally got Altair's sword, I was so giddy that I just started swinging it around in front of the shop - And accidentally thrust it into some lady walking near by.

With almost comedic timing, the game then prompted "Ezio did not kill civilians." I then laughed hysterically for a moment, thinking in character "Altair definitely would not approve of this... and with his own sword too."

I killed countless banjo playing losers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I liked the time I grabbed one, punched/kneed him a few times, and then threw him into water. He won't bother me again. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I like to poison the guards in highly populated areas and throw a heaps of money at them, hilarity follows.

I poisoned a lady then kept throwing coins at her.
I never knew watching a woman smacking people as they charges towards my money could be soo humourous http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I also tackle them bards just for laughs (well, if they get in my way when i'm on a job i'll get in their way!)

I, uhm, have a tendency to shoot people who randomly walk in front of the person I'm targeting with the gun.

my biggest one for civilian kills is when I run at a guard and stabs the guard and a civilian, it's more annoying when you do it and you ran at two guards and the civilian just got in the way.

i killed two bards at the same time, and when i do that blood splurts all over their face http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

those bards are nasty at times they just seem to come from all over had about 7 of them on my while trying to do a mission (it was the one were you have to follow the bloke to the ruins type thing so killing them wasn't an option) altho I also failed that option one because my courtesans decided they liked the guards then one of them knocked me into a guard who decided to push me about.

if anything the groups you can hire can actually be more deadly than the bards and stuff stopping you, had thieves run through me knocking me off roof tops and the amount of the time I've been hit in the back of the head by the fighters is stupid.

I was aiming my pistol at a target, and the exact moment I shoot some bastard bard walks in front of it...

Mission failed (as I was stunned about wtf just happened and didn't realize the target running away), and I had to take care of some 10+ guards.

the bards are funny...they make the game more challenging...or annoying? lol

I used to always grab and throw bards out of my way before realising I could just toss some coins off to the left or right and they'd drop their flute/whatever and run to the coins, leaving me free to follow my target, or whatever it is I'm doing. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I always give the bards a good beating at the very least http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

It's funny bumping the anglers into the water as well but not as funny as knocking a load of civvies off a bridge and into the water with your horse http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I just steal their money. 5f or so.
They'll leave you alone, and its quicker than beating em up :P

If I'm bored, I'll just walk around stealing from a large group of people, hoping for a fight.

One guy may step out, but he's easily dispatched.

As I wait for another challenger, my patience grows thin, so I whip out the sword.

...good times.

In Romagna, I like to go to the docks and walk too close to the fishermen so they stand up and promptly fall into the water.

I was doing a secondary assassination mission and taking the long route so i wouldnt bee seen and this guy was arguing with his wife, calling her names so i poisoned him. First time i had seen "Ezio didn't kill civilians"

The first time a bought a new weapon i was all excited and just pressed the attack button and i immediately turned round and stabbed a guard in the head that was walking by. Got a good laugh from that and more practice with the short blade on his two companions.

Am I mistaken or can you not kill civilians at the end of the game like in ACI?

Haha! You're all downright mean people here! j/k http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

In AC1 I used to always push the Masyaf guards off the cliffs or over the diving platform area. Also hitting the women in the garden until they got on their knees and promptly adjusting the camera angle was a immature hoot too. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It's a game! Have some stupid fun 'cause ya can!

I tried to go on a civilian-slaughtering rampage to get the 'street cleaner' achievement, but after three kills, I de-synched. I even had half health, too! Turns out they REALLY don't want you to kill innocents... >>

I always tried to argue with the error message but it never worked. "What do you mean, Ezio didn't kill civilians?! He just did, *****es!"

Poison a halberd wielder, throw a bunch of coins and a smoke bomb, and die of laughter. Maybe shoot someone for good measure.

my favorite targets are the heralds talkin smack about me when i'm standing right there.

seriously. i dont know about you, but the sum of 500 florans is too stiff of a price to shut them up. my sword is alot cheaper.

killing guards on rooftops (especially hiiigh up ones) then looting them only to watch their lifeless bodies slide off and fall 15+ stories, much to the shock and horror of those unfortunet enough to be passing through as this happens right in front of them=awesome.

that bug's me when you come near them even when the level is low he starts yelling here comes the assassins and even if there are guards in the area they just ignore you because it's that low.

I've found the most efficient way to get rid of bards is to pickpocket them. Doesn't increase notoriety much, so if it's not high to begin with, no risk of revealing yourself. And unlike regular people, they just run away, no calling guards or picking fights.

As for the rest, after winning the game, three civilians still desynchronises you. Doesn't cost health like in AC1 though. Which is nice. I don't often have problems with allies, but I've been knocked off a couple of ledges by thieves.

And I like poisoning a Seeker and a Brute, then scattering coins and backing away. Or poisoning a Bard and using him as a distraction next to a guarded area.

I had been Trying to cath a messenger for quite a while so i deciderd to just shoot him, so i stopped, Selected the Gun and started aiming when i saw thet he was going around the corner i just shot and would have problably hit him to but some ******* ran infront of him and straight into the bullet and got killed with my last bullet i might add

so far I've found killing the messenger isn't that profitable you better of getting the street thief

I was fighting a guard on top of a wooden platform, and as I killed him, somehow his foot got caught in between the planks. So his body hung there by one foot! It was really cool and strange, haven't been able to do it again.

It's also funny to throw archers' bodies down into the street and watch the civs scream and run away, haha =D

I hate when you go to kill some guards with hidden blades, and you accidentaly kill two civilians instead thus killing you because you had fun killing some random person

I dont kill civilians, but sometimes I use poison dagger on thieves or burgesse curriers. They start running like crazy after that and act funny.

I follow the creed and never kill civilians.

Although, sometimes, I accidentally stabbed some people near me and I had to quit the game and re-enter it.

But in AC1, I kill beggars. Stupid beggars.

If you punch one of the bards when he is playing on his lut and singing infront of you he sometimes goes all: "Is it really that bad?!". Its really hillarious.

Today i found myself with nothing to do so i went to Palazzo Ducale Di Venezia an aquired a Broom and attacked, not 1, not 2 but 4 brutes with it and in the end they all died.... was problably a 30 min fight since new guards kept attacking me and the final body count was aroud 18-20 bodys all killed by a madman with a broom.... I'm Awesome

I wouldn't count on that as it uses an invisible trigger (not like AC1 were you just lost sync/health) so it would be very very hard for them to track down the memory location or even the integers used in the count as there is no visual way to see what you are actually changing.

Nothing is true, everything is permitted. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I'm sure the trainer creators will figure something out eventually. Games like GTA IV were also very hard to create trainers for because of the protecton...

Haha, I know! You can use brooms too, and I believe also the farming tools you find in the Tuscan countryside. Very entertaining.
