as i already p├┬┤sted in pf forum :

the color of exhausts seem wrong to me :

it is a common mistake of many skinner to make this part brownish, but on all photographs i have seen, it is rather creamish, being the color of burnt paint, but with no combustion particles. These particles are catched in the compressors on the P38, hence this particular exhaust color.

I tried alot of different styles, even that colour you posted in the pic, but looks rather dumb in game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Sad it is that we lost il2skins, as some p38 skinners had begun to work on these exhausts color to try to have them right.

So i can only present you my own progress on these.

It is certainly the part of the p38 i worked the most on, and i'm still not completely satisfied by my results.

The difficulty come from the fact that the texture is stretched over the nacels. Finally i preferred to have a effect not as pronounced as on photographs :

It look better, in my opinion, on regular olive drab p38 :

But at least, even if the effect is still not right, i prefer it that way as it seem closer to what it was really...

Of course, as you are the artist, you are free to represent it the way you like most, i was only pointing at what seemed to me an inaccuracy on a historical skin.
