View Full Version : IL2 not like before

I love IL2 series and I've enjoyed every flight I've taken online and offline. With the years passing, a lot of us have gotten much better than before and pilots are excelling in the planes they fly. However, I don't think we can run across new pilots. It's getting harder and harder to tell the experienced pilots from the new pilots. I find it very rare to come across a pilot online who doesn't know what he's doing. Sure I'll see a few mistakes on my part and his part, but we all essentially know what we're doing. With all the releases, patches, and addons, only the more serious and dedicated pilots will keep flying with them, thus making it harder to find new pilots. I'm not saying I want to keep killing new pilots, since I'm up for the challenge of excellent pilots (and i'm not saying i'm the greatest either).

When BoB is released I think we'll start to see new pilots with inexperience and the cycle will start again.

Any thoughts?

Well bad for you.On eastern front I meet n00bs everyday.Ppl get killed once every 2-5 missions. That`s not good and doesn`t say any good bout their pilot skills.Sure they can be hot shots or masters in their own plane but they have no idea how to survive.

As odd as it may sound: not every person flying in IL2 is a born sim ace.

Depends where you fly. Server to server you can see quite a bit of difference. Lots of Spitfire pilots who just spray their guns all over the place (must be rocking their rudder back and forth desperately trying to hit) and flying at no more than 500m. Other times I'm being bounced from 7000m.

There's still plenty of newbie targets http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
