A message in ACB within cluster 4. I checked this forum and others and this is the one that seems nobody figured out.

"Apples oranges pears cucumbers radishes carrots spinach dates wood juniper
steel aluminum water rain shanty village town city country spring summer fall
winter to walk to sing to dance to play to eat to smile to cry to laugh to kill
to see to know death regret love"

Hopefully somebody here can figure out what this is. Or its origin.

It probably means that his life is killing, regret, and lost love. The beginning just stated things in this world and that they are average things you see everywhere but he is also saying that just as water and cities are commonly known to everyone else what he commonly knows is killing, regret, and lost love.

Let me "Think out loud" for a bit. It starts out by naming fruits and vegetables. Then metals, then water. I don't think that's really got to do with it. Now it starts to form a pattern. Shanty-smallest, village-bigger, town-still bigger, city-even bigger, country-the biggest. Next the seasons. Then it starts out happy-walk, sing, dance, play, and it turns to things we've seen Ezio go through - Kill, and regret his love for Cristina. For now, i'm tired and must get some sleep. When I wake i'll try to connect these and solve the riddle if someone else hasn't.

The whole cluster thing is basically setting up S16's whatever it is exactly in ACB. This is just part of the program starting up and adding what appear to be pieces of knowledge of S16.

How do we know that it's actually a riddle.

Everything in the glyphs/clusters is a riddle, or at least is a reference to the meaning of the single puzzle. Every sentence, image and sound in a puzzle should be seen in the perspective of the whole message of that same puzzle. I'll try to explain myself with what was asked in the OP, while taking up the challenge to solve the riddle (thanking my friend sibi.lla from the UBI Italian forums who solved it leaving me drooling).

Cluster 4 is all about robots and machines created to work in the man's place. The photos that need to be chosen represent a bomb disposal robot, a woman in front of an Enigma Machine (an electro-mechanic machine used for encryption and decryption of secret messages), a man in front of a mainframe, some quadrupedal robots (they're called "Big Dogs") and a man, Tony Sale, presenting George, one of the UK's earliest humanoid robots. The sentences in the rotating minigames are quotes from Alan Turing, an English computer scientist who studied artificial intelligence (more should be said about him, as he's very important for the cluster). In fact the chess game and the phone call and even the photo hidden in the quarantine zone minigame too revolve around his figure.
Because of this, the message in the OP is related to robots and artificial intelligences and, thanks to my friend's research, robotic paradigms.
Quoting Wikipedia, a robotic paradigm can be described by the relationship between the three primitives of robotics: Sense, Plan, and Act. It can also be described by how sensory data is processed and distributed through the system, and where decisions are made. Traditionally there are three major paradigms that can be used to decide the behaviour of the robot and that imply different uses of Sense, Plan and Act: the Hierarchical Paradigm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotic_paradigms#Hierarchical_Paradigm), the Reactive Paradigm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotic_paradigms#Reactive_Paradigm) and the Hybrid Deliberate/Reactive Paradigm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotic_paradigms#Hybrid_Deliberate.2FReactive_Par adigm).

As for what we understood, the machine receives the "sensorial data" -Apples oranges pears cucumbers radishes carrots spinach dates wood juniper steel aluminum water rain, it transforms them in "sensorial information" - shanty village town city country spring summer fall winter, which become "guidelines of acting" - to walk to sing to dance to play to eat to smile to cry to laugh to kill to see to know and then into "actuator commands" or, I guess, feelings - death regret love.

How do you guys think of this?

Interesting. Very interesting. That could well be the answer as I don't think the message behind it was revolving around sixteen. Not bad

I'm not saying everyone should stop saying what they think that message means but I've go just one more and I rather not make another topic. Anybody know what that image in the Scroll of Romulus is?

This was in the vault and glowed red in eagle vision so they obviously wanted some attention here on this image.

That right there is speculation at best.
To counter your argument that everything in the clusters is a clue to its contents, notice that the words in this supposed riddle are spoken out loud by the Abstergo Animus voice. The same voice that whatever S16 left behind in the animus used before activating his own voice. Also, that same voice says something at the beginning of (almost, I'm not entirely sure) every Cluster and it never seems to have anything to do with the context of the clusters, at least not in any way I've been able to notice, and I've always been able to solve the riddles using logical steps based on the things I did notice. Furthermore, the voice seems to be say things that indicate it's "learning" about itself (S16). It talks about basic concepts of what a modern day human experiences, like birds, trees, cities and such, things that makes it want to die (I can't remember exactly which cluster that was), things like that.

Hm, you're right rey, I forgot about the Animus voice. Those parts are way more related to Subject 16 and Desmond, I gotta give you that.
Still I'm convinced about my theory, also because the Animus voice in that section just says "scanning..." repeatedly.

Well, your theory is quite interesting and there could very likely be some truth to it.

Thanks to the guy who gave me that link. I give the op props on his topic but sadly nobody there answered my question as to what that image in eagle vision was. It was a good guess but I was hoping he learned for sure what it was based off of. The only thing he said that I think is wrong was his assumption abut Eve's dna being a key. Check the subtitles and you'll see those two lines were separate and incomplete (emphasis on the incomplete) sentences. Again if I never played ASB and saw that clip with 16, I would have assumed it was some kind of teaser cuz of how broken up his message was, not your actual 'reward' in the game for solving all the clusters. I mentioned else where before how 16's message at the end was far too broken up and the only clear part of his message was to find him the darkness. But again thanks for that link

guys this is obvious!
the guy growns fruits and vegies so he cuts them with knives made of steel and aluminum then washes them and goes around settlements of different sizes in his country selling them for 4 seasons and then he is rich so he spends them on walking singing and dancing lessons, while the rest on food and then he runs out of money and becomes sad and then becomes delutional and laughs a lot so he kills somebody and then his love runs away so now is regretful.

see its soo easy! i cant beleive you guys havent thought of this before, and it make perfect sence! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Just wondering if the community had solved this yet? After reviewing many different ciphers, there's a few thoughts that I've had but I've been unable to produce any results yet:
- Since the majority of that cluster mentioned "Turing", I thought perhaps we'd need to utilize something related to the Turing CIpher/Enimga Code, but I'm currently digging this out
- With the ciphertext being actual words and not an "encrypted mess" I'm led to believe that it may be encrypted using a Null Cipher or one which "skips" a certain amount of letters (meaning every 8th letter or something), though I've run this through multiple times and multiple ways and still have not found anything legible - (unless the results are DOUBLE-encoded, but I just don't have the time for that right now haha)
- lastly, it could be using something akin to a Bacon Cipher (Francis Bacon's), but my TV is not HQ enough to see if some of the letters are actually ever-so-slightly bolded or any type of font size difference - I know many of the subtleties used in this cipher were quite difficult to identify.

Though there are some interesting theories here, I've GOT to believe that this is an encrypted message (just like the countless others in the game) and any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!
