ok i have about 180 to spend, maybe a little more and just got a p4 3 ghz processor
anyone got any ideas on what's best gfx card to get?
i was thinking 6800gt or x800xl by radeon, it's a pci express slot

The best bang for buck out of those two IMO is the X800XL. Spend 20 more and you can get an XT which is allot better.

i recommend a BFG6800gtOC. life time warrinty,comes overclocked. from the beanch marks iv seen the 6800gt more than holds its own aginst the ATI offerings in the same price class. you can find them easy for 350$ and cheaper US. but truthfully by the time eather card reachs its full potintel in a game, what what deffernce there is between them will be unnoticble.

though i do not indorse shoping at bestbuy do to there crapy return policy.all though returning to BFG is suprisingly easy and fast.

Best place to post this is in "Community Help". To pick the card that will give you the most bang for the money, you need to match the card to the rest of your system, and those guys over there know their stuff.

I tested an asus 6800GT card and a sapphire X800 XT card... And I replaced the Asus 6800GT in his box.
