After 5 years of living in a suburban neighborhood near Miss America's home base, I have yet to get accustomed to hearing a P51 buzzing my house on Saturday mornings. She's easy to pick out from the 172s and Aerocommanders. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

According to the latest Warbirds International she has a sister too. A Yak 3M, it's a new built and wears an Allison engine instead of the original. If Miss America won't dtae ya maybe her sister will http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.

I'd rather look at a beautiful airplane than a beautiful girl. Perhaps I'm a bit odd. Frankly, I could literally marry a P-38.

I wonder how I could get the ring on, though.

Like the Spitfire, it's a Ferrari of planes in the looks department. Just beautiful...and the aircraft's sound matches it's looks.
