This week's development update has been added to the site.

This week we're focusing on Pacific Fighters and Battle of Britain, look at the aircraft carrier sway in the sea as we try to land!

Nice updates, as usual. Close up views of the carrier are great.

I'm hoping a future update will show some land-based planes : USAAF, Commonwealth, Dutch or Japanese Army.

Very nice update - looks like those carrier landings are going to be very interesting!!!
Thanks got the update on PF - any new text info to update us on, maybe scale of the large maps or a flyable plane update...anything?? ;-)

Maybe it's just me, but has the shape of the Zero cockpit been tweaked? Before the front-side glass had a slightly incorrect angle, which seems to be fixed now. Not that it bugged me too much before, but am glad to see it fixed from FB. Or maybe it just looks that way from the angle of the screenshots?

I've looked at quite a number of photos of A6M2s over the past few months, and never once have I seen one with a huge numeral plastered on the fuselage aft of the hinomaru.

I could have missed one.

Is this the way markings are going to be handled on the zeke?

Otherwise, looks dandy. Can't wait.

Almost a ramp strike on one there! It does look to have pitch and roll. In the open ocean the swell can give a lot of roll without much in the way of wind or waves. Making good progress, just hope that the flying qualities are done as well.

S!

Photos look good, but dont they always. Roll looks good, Pitch...Hmmm.

Rolling decks are one thing, quite simple to land on and devilishly simple to program, but will they pitch. I doubt it, but wish to be proven wrong.

Remember all the floating aircraft in CFS2, thats lag. Do you think Lag will not do the same in PF ?

Maybe not, but if for only this reason I will be pleasently surprised to see PITCHING decks in PF with aircraft that move with them.

Also I am very dissapointed to see the Lights not working. Probably one of the simplist aids to carrier landings and indeed was used. But here we see the lights out, no aids whatsoever.

How can I write my immpossible landing missions without any kind of navigational or visual aid. One of my missions for CFS2 was landing blind on a carrier using instruments only. Totally unrealastic I admit, but it brought fun to many, cutting the throttle and just hoping the deck was under you.

I love writing missions for FB, hopefully I will love writing missions for PF. But if the mission writers are as restricted as FB then I might as well give up.

Why not for gods sake include a few runway tiles in the objects list so we can make our own runways instead of the stock ones you make ?

ahh well, thats my rant over for the week http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I don't like it.

There is no LSO and despite the carrier rolling in the water, the sea is still completely flat.

It maybe just me but if carriers are moving into the wind to recover aircraft.Any movement must be pitching movement because there shouldn`t be any side waves to make the carrier roll?Is there any current Navy Pilots who can help us.
