Same here. I don't think it'll disappoint but I do wonder how long they are.

EDIT: Just watched the video and holy hell I can't wait!

I hope they add other things besides missions, like new weapons, armors, and abilities.

I'm also curious what the new move mentioned will be, The spring-jump. A high-jump in place is what a think, but that seems a bit, useless to be honest.

Was it mentioned if we could replay missions?

well it wasnt mentioned but you should be able to because its supposedly in memory sequences 12, 13 so people who have completed dont have to start a new game.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif That's a really good point , didn't think of that! It seems they would have to allow replaying of story missions to let people who have already completed the game play the DLC.

prices are OK...but I can live without them for a while. I'm gonna wait and see if replaying of story missions is included and read some reviews. Looks good so far though

OH I just remembered I said there would be a second flying mission! I made a thread about it but got hardly any attention. Granted I was a little off because I thought it would be in the Bonfire Of The Vanities but I was still right.

So excited!!!!!! *claps hands and dances*
Can't wait to kick Savonarola's ***!!!!!
Also, did anyone else notice that the character concepts of the Orsi Brothers was in the artbook?
Anyways, Machiavelli was epic in the game but he was only in there for a few minutes, glad we'll be able to see more of him http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well, let's see what other details they'll release closer to the release of the DLC.
I'm not too excited right now to be honest. Looking at the price, I don't have a lot of hopes for the length of it. Six memories for sequence 12 and ten for 13 doesn't sound much more than 1 or 1,5 gameplay hours.

To everyone that is saying "wow thats cheap", you all do realize that both add up to just under 10 dollars and given the timing were obviously made along side the game, ie they purposely withheld this content. For those of us who spent the extra money for limited editions this is increasing the price tag of this game to 80+ USD.

Im all for DLC for games, but when companies obviously withold content such as what ubisoft is doing it really ****es me off.

Furthermore thinking about it LE owners just got shafted. For 30 extra bucks were only got 2-3 "exclusive maps" that added at most an hour of game play, a game statue and a tin that will likely gather dust under a bed or closet. A month and a half later Ubisoft announces that for 10 bucks two "new" memory sequences are being added that will easily add about 12 plus hours of play time.

In terms of game enjoyment people who bought the normal edition get more bang for their buck. I think in the future I will only be getting normal editions of future titles from Ubisoft after this.

I'm curious as to where you're getting that it will easily add 12 plus hours of play time? I seriously doubt both DLC's will add up to even half of that.

Also, I purchased a LE and I don't feel ripped off at all. Story wise, these two episodes don't fit with the main story at all. The end of sequence 11 had sense of impending finality to it, you knew the next portion would be the end game. Now, I know that it jumped ahead about ten years to get to sequence 14 but game play wise, it doesn't make sense to go off and do 2 more missions when they gave you the feeling the game was almost over.

They obviously had these episodes planned as DLC the whole time and because it's based in a historical setting people feel they were taken out of the original game just because these two events happened between 1486 and 1499 and Ubisoft is just doing it to make a quick buck.

I have a feeling no one would be complaining if historically the Battle of Forli and the Bonfire of the Vanities happened in 1505, for example, or if the DLC came out in June.

I'm just happy to be getting some extra content while the iron is still hot, so to speak.

Battle of flori:
"...With six new memories,..."

and
Bonfire of the Vanities:
"...offing his underlings in ten memories..."

Depending on your play prefrence it will range from 8-12 hours im sure.

people don't complain so much please.
the thing is simple:
6 new memories (I'm fairly sure memories are the little hexagons (wait... I think it was octagons) in the DNA) don't add that much time, for all I'm concerned a sequence took me about and hour and a half to beat (counting free running, treasures, an occasional feather and trips to collect money) so the sequences should add most likely up to 5 hours. (I hope they also release the special edition maps as DLC) now, both DLCs are said to be about 1GB each and each one costs about 5 USD... it's not that much.
you are not forced to buy it.
it's not that expensive.
it's not that long.

Its the principle of the thing and that point of view that your taking sets up a situation where game studios like Ubisoft can create a game, cut chunks out of it, sell whats left for 60 USD and then sell you what they cut out for 5-10 bucks a pop. Suddenly 60 dollars worth of content turns into 65-70.

Sure you say its purely optional to download the content but then again its purely optional to play the game to begin with, the point being that somewhere along the line the concept of optional content really translates to having some meat on the bones.

I highly doubt they took the episodes out and set them as DLC on purpose in order to just rip us off.

DLC is usually content that wouldn't fit on the game disc anyway, and was too short and not worth writing them to other discs, much like GTA's DLC. With DLC, the content is stored on the Hard Drive, which has more space, allowing more content to be added without corrupting the disc. Not only does DLC simply add missions, but also costumes, weapons, items, vehicles, and such. We might get new dyes in the DLC, or a new weapon to carry around. So it's not like it's not completely worth our money. $5 is a fair price for more content, as it prolongs the game and gives me more to do.

And as far as I'm concerned if they wanna charge a little money for it, then they can. Game Developers have to eat too y'know. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

For those of you complaining about UbiSoft deliberately cutting chunks out of the game to sell as DLC, here's a couple of questions to consider:

Could it be possible that hese two sequences - that are not vital to the main story - were cut out due to a lack of space on the game disk?

Assuming that is the case, would you rather they had just 12 sequences and not released these extra sequences as DLC?
(especially given the widely accepted fact they will be going for such reasonable prices - at least in the US)

I, for one, am chomping at the bit to get my grubby little hands on them, not to mention kinda curious how much they are gonna cost me here in the UK!

The DLC is $5.00, so does that mean it's not comeing from XBOX live as everything from XBOX live is based on points not on currency?
Also what's up with the second piece of Eden? The whole game is based on the staff and the one piece of Eden?

okay, the more I think about it the more it smells. You should be able to buy it with uplay points. This is gonna wind up being a $100+ U.S. if they keep the DLC coming. (And I DO want it, don't get me wrong) But I shucked out 65 bucks for a game and it's missing pieces that I have to buy extra. Kind of shady if you ask me. And as far as it not fitting on a disc, the PS3 blue ray should have absolutley no problem with that. Will I buy it? Probably not for a very long time. I'll be playing modern warfare 2 for a while http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I love you guys at Ubi! sorry for the "negitivity" awsome game and u know it. Just my .02

If they do add the cape to buy/obtain, I'm just wondering what abilities it has. Giving immunity to noteriety for all locations seems fairly pointless given that that just eliminates the need for the Medici and Venetian capes. Fair enough if it's purely aesthetic like the plain cape though.

Also, Ezio seems to be wearing no [optional] armour. Maybe this is just the screens just using a fresh save for the publicity photo or maybe they've added the ability to unequip items, yet that begs the question; why is he wearing the leather greaves then? Can't wait to buy them and find out though.

Well, the leather greaves weren't really optional.

I doubt they would add the ability to unequip items in the DLC. That would be something for a patch I would think to allow everyone access to it.

I want to get these, but I want to hear what people think about it first. Also, I want to see the pricing for the UK (not a rough estimate).
Edit: just read about the spring jump and about the new part of florence, in which case I probably will get this, but price would need to be right.

ive had an idead about the 'spring jump' move that was talked about it could be the ability to rebound off a wall, so you jump at a wall then jump off, just an idea.
