I think the rifle-calibre mg sounds are just too slow. Try firing Hurri's 12 mgs and right, that sounds like 12x20 mm cannons firing at 500 rpm. Of course that should be something like 12 MG42s.
The MK 108 sound is a little bit too loud, cos its louder than the bigger MK 103. Weird, isn't it?

Bigger gun doesn't always mean that its going to be louder. Likely the barrel shape, size, length, the firing mechanism and all sorts of things come into play.

I don't have a problem with the Hurricane's machine gun sounds. Its authentic enough for me. There are limits to what can be done...AND...it sounds a whole heck of alot like the sounds they used in the Battle of Britain movie so its just fine for me.

Icefire is right here. The shorter barrel you have, the louder its going to be (especially if it's a big gun like a 30mm!)

The mk108 AFAIK doesn't have a very long barrel, so it should definately sound very loud.

Theres also no real need for advanced gun sounds because thats only a very small fraction of what's going on.
