Hi..
Just curious about the Russ/Euro maps.
Has anyone mapped out on an atlas map where the FMB are in reality?
I was looking over some on my atlas and although some names have changed since WWII, the locations of cities and towns are just like the maps in the FMB. So the maps are accurate in that respect.
I never knew that one map, can't recall the name at the moment, of northern Finland was THAT far north!
Anyway just wondering if anyone had ever done something like that. Sounds like something I would do if I had the time...
Thanks.

Yeah there is something actually that was done with all of the European maps laid on a map. It was really cool...

I can't find it but its out there.

Which northern map are you talking about? The Gulf of Finaldn or Murmansk? Murmansk takes the cake really http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

There have been discussions over in the Mission Builder boards regarding maps and their accuracy. Numerous issues have been noted regarding geographical and topographical inaccuracies. Be aware that references depicting today's locales may bear little resemblance to the way it was in circa 1939-1940.
