I want it all for SOW...I don't need the clickable...only set keys for startup steps...possibly have a difficulty setting, for those of us, that would love to have this start up

Yes I like the idea being able to assign those keys to your Hotas system or some sort of control panel. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

For all those who want FULL REALISM ! This would be great.. And what a sound !
Uh... since I'm here... I'd also ask for : a pilot in our cockpit, a body to join or leave the plane, a wider POV (130? would be fine!), an FPS view out of the aircraft, the obligation to rejoin your own base by any means after bailing, a dead is dead mode campaign (offline as well as online), a real time refuel, rearm, repair option, a mature and realistic storyline, and this next game would really be an incredible WW2 SIMULATION. I trust Oleg and his team for the perfect FM and DM. Thx for reading, for I'm just a basic potential new customer.

Key assignments would be great. You can keep the clickies though.

Imagine taking your eye off the target to look down into the cockpit, change the joystick to your left hand while you grab the mouse with the right. Delicately position the little white arrow over the boost over-ride and click it. Whoops, missed. Try again... thats it. Swap hands again. Look up. Now where'd the target go?

No thanks http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I remember in an old thread, I think when BOB2WOV was released, O-man already nixed this idea, saying that only a very tiny minority of the population wanted this.

Of course the mind of man is changeable.

Also, it'd be difficult to research proper start procedures for each plane. In some cases, there might not even be any information for it.

Just having 1 method, and applying to all planes, wouldn't be realistic.

I just got BoBII and I must say the clickable cockpit is awesome. LOMACS BlackShark-Addon will have it, too, and it looks awesome there, too.

IMHO most people fear they have to click around all the time, but that is not the case. Properly done, as in BoBII, you have a quite real startup sequence, disregarding warmups and stuff, but you have to click the levers and stuff manually with the mouse. Once the engine is running, you can easily control everything else by keys.

And to top that: To avoid restarting the engine in mid-air with the clickable cockpit, there is a single key for the restart procedure that only works if the plane is airborne.

Honestly, I like that approach very much.

Seriously, I hope we'll see people on the ground of Bob's bases. Expecting a immersive sim this time.

The more Options the better the sim, but you have to draw the line somewhere, or the sim will never be completed. Oleg believes at this time clickable cockpits arn't worth his time and effort. This could change as BOB will be more modable than FB.

Oleg...if you could make this a possible for the future, then release, or impliment after BOB release pressure is off of you...down the road you could have this in SOW...you must compete with MS http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

God ! That's an argument ! Now we all know why we need a magic button to start the engine.

And Oleg, a bit of complex-pilot-management too. When bailing out, have keys to jettison cockpit, disconnect radio, disconnect oxygen, release harnesses and then over the side. The "everything in one" Ctrl/E function should disappear forever!

Plus a probability of striking the tail unit, dependant on flight attitude when bailing. Plus a first person view throughout http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Well I will support that too http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif. But then you first need A PILOT into your cockpit. Whose fingers you could see handling all the buttons needed to start the engine... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
