I have just bought Pacific Fighters as a stand alone version. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

For some reason I am unable to take off - as soon as the mission starts my plane either starts in the air or in the water.

Could someone please explain this problem. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

if you are using the quick mission building it will probably start you in the air.

if you want to do some take-offs go to single player and select a take-off mission

OK my turn to answer this question.

You need to assign a key for place/release chocks to take off from a carrier.

Once you run up the engine you can release the chocks and you will take off nicely .

You say the water. Do you mean on a carrier? If so, you need to assign a key to chocks as was said above. If you mean you're in the water. I have no clue.

Hah! I have got all of you on this one - It was so easy I couldn't believe it myself.

I set the difficulty to easy - wich in turn switched off carrier landing/takeoffs. For some reason when in campaign mode the game placed me in the water while the take off missions the game placed me in the air!!

Anyway, thanks for your responses.

Happy Hunting!
