it would be really nice to get some real background, myths or legends about the things going on in the game.

e'specially about the main character Alta´r that i road (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5251069024/m/5701064934) was build on a real legendary assassin from the third crusade. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

got some from wikipedia about the Hashshashins and there cult┬┤s leader Hassan-i-Sabah :

Been following the forums for awhile, and now I thought that I would post something for once =P

I made an english work about Assassin for not so long ago. I think I got a pretty high grade on it too ^^
I'll see if I can get it up somehow... if I find it again that is =/

Altair is a 100% fictional character. Too bad, eh?

yes i know but they also say that.

- The main character's name is Alta´r, he uses a switchblade hidden in his hand.
Apparently this game follows his story as the most legendary assassin in 1191 AD, during the Third Crusade.

How does that say he's based on a real assassin? Not at all, indeed. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

My best guess is, that Alta´r indeed is a fictional character (too bad we can't all make one big field trip and go visit his grave http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif) but saying that, i still think that there was A legendary assassins long time ago that the Alta´r charachter is BASED on<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

The world has already come to the end.. We just haven't been notified yet!

It's following HIS (Altair's) story as a a legendary assassin. Not a real legendary assassin. I think it's just a misunderstanding.

The info on wikipedia about the Hashshashin and richard the lionheart are pretty good story material for Assassin's Creed..

I sure don't hope we stumbled upon a plot here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
