I'm giving my old Complete Edition away to a friend as I've now got "Sturmo' 1946". Does anybody know which patches can be applied to this game? I've no idea which version it is that comes with that box. Which version is it?
Grateful for any help I can get.

I dunno either, just tell yer friend to install it and then look to see what version is displayed while the program starts up. Then you can go from there to figure which patches can be applied.

I believe the "Complete Edition" shipped as v4.04m.

UbiSoft advertised the e-commerce download version as including the Pe-2 Peshka add-on but I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the DVD version.

Would that mean he could patch it up to 4.05??

If he buys the Pe2 addon, then yes. (as that is 4.05m)

But then he'd better buy the 1946 addon so he gets the 3 addons (Pe2, Manchuria and 1946)

But, as IL2 Sturmovik 1946 is currently priced at around $10 (in the US appearantly) or EUR 15,= (in the Netherlands) ... he'd better get himself that DVD! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thanks, that tells me all I need to know: that 4.05m is as far as he will get using that disc.

From that disc he'll only get as far as 4.04m.
(4.05m is Pe-2.... unless you got yerself that one, and transfer it to him too that is...)

Sorry. I understood that, but just wrote it down wrongly.
Thanks again.

Well as far as I know the Pe-2 add-on was never sold on a CD (except in Russia). For the Western market it was sold as an e-commerce download.

To complicate this a little more, I don't think the Pe-2 add-on is available in that form anymore (ie, as patch 4.05m). I did see, however, a full "add-ons only" e-commerce download through UbiSoft France that is "Pe-2/'46/Sturmoviks Over Manchuria" combined. Maybe I can dredge up a link ...

Thanks Skycat, but i think he'll be happy with 4.04m. He's already got Forgotten Battles and this (Complete Edition) will give him a lot extra.

He's not hooked on the game (yet) so I don't think he'll go for paid downloads or for buying 'Sturmo 1946' on disc just now.
