Heh, I got 2 documentary-movies of that team.

I found little documentary, though. The movies explain the radical successes of the FW190 in the BoB at the beginning. What the pilots say usually little more than ranting and propaganda.

Following is praising the british Spitfire and Hurricane, then, in a small side-sentence, it is noted, that it MAY also have been an effect that British pilots flew over their own country, didn't have to use up much fuel and mostly bailed to friendly territory. That MAY have had an effect, though.

Very funny. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Just a few corrections. The FW190 didnt play any part in what is recognised as 'The Battle Of Britian' as in when the Germans launched serious large scale air attacks on England, intended to break her.

The Spitfire Ace docs has interviews from Spifire pilot and 109 pilots who give their view. Also it says that the Germans were most definitely curtailed by their lack of fuel and the fact that they had to make it all the way back to France. They give a very good balanced view of the battle. Giving the facts and letting the watcher make up his own mind.

You can hardly say what the Vets says is 'ranting', they all say they are lucky to be alive and that they were scared stiff! Listen to Bob Doe and try and find one bit of Propaganda.

'I shot 2 Germans down on my first Sortie without knowing what the Hell was going on, who was behind me or anyhting. It was certainly through no skill on my part'

- I dont know what you consider ranting, but I would say thats about as humble as you can get. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

In the end its about the Spitfire, and thats what its meant to be. Look at the name after all.

Either Loneranger is watching something totally different or he is just trolling.
