Looks finger-lickin' good, but...

I did notice that you're replacing some of the stock DCG files. Since I'm enamoured with the original AND your new campaign, can I make a suggestion?

Since DCG 3.07, Paul's added a feature for the '3rd Party Folder'. That means you can have your alternate maps/placements, etc without having to replace the standard DCG files. I don't know if it's possible, but adapting it to fit this new feature would help a lot of DCG users love you all the more ^_^

I'm in touch with Paul to have it compatible with stock files, but it's not completely possible for now.
Anyway, Paul releases new versions of his wonderful stuff enough often to replace files when needed.

For example, I had to take Mariannas map to be MALTA scenery.
Its a project that map related data could become campaign related data, but we have to wait....

Regards.

Gilb57,

You should be able to build a set of campaigns completely separate from the default DCG campaigns and not overwrite any DCG campaign files.

If you need help, post over in the DCG forums so Paul and I can help.

My point ^_^ Good to have it confirmed from an official source, though. Even if you're totally changing the scenery (read: static ground objects), you should be able to do it from within the dedicated '3rd party folder'

BTW Tailspin - thanks a bunch for the update on your Grand Mini campaign set, no more Chief_ground error! My squadron has been flying as Frenchies in the Hungarian civil war, and we're getting our tails kicked, but loving it.

Because of the original post, I d/l'ed the DCG. I haven't used this program since the first IL2.
[changing computers and hardrives I never got round to reinstalling]. It used to be brilliant then, it's even better now.
I've only done three missions [Lvov 41], but they were different every time, --CAP over town,
---intercept bombers,----strike mission. Great stuff.
My thanks to all involved, looking forward to the med. campaign too. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
Did I mention the debriefing, it tells you who shot what, pilot losses [named], enemy losses and plane types. I could go on............

I confirm that it should be possible to have a separate install without harming any of the stock files.
I'll work on it on the next 2 weeks... stay tuned http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
