its not so much that team that bugs me...well - yes it is.

But more - its the friggin' ESPN circus of coverage of what must be the only team in baseball.

The rest of MLB only marginally exists as far as those clowns are concerned and how tired is "The Yankee Captain"? Jeeter is a mommas boy who knows where every camera is, even the random handheld ones, and poses like a girl for all of them.

Even after they are eliminated - the Jankees still get the lions share of the coverage...

HEy New York! the Friggin' Yankers are TOAST.

Congrats to the Tigers and heres hoping that after 19 years my Padres can take their revenge for the Series in 1984 when these two Other MLB teams met.

Hello New York - Goodbye Yankees.

The only thing worse is Fox Sports. Their constant spot the celebrity in the crowd bit gets annoying as hell. As far as ESPN's coverage, at least we didn't have to listen to Chris Berman's "Back, back, back, back, back, back....... on every fly ball hit past second base.

Go Tigers.

agreed- Bermans act is also extremely tired.

But Fox broke away from their NFL game last week to show Trevor Hoffman break Lee Smiths alltime saves record - so I can't be too annoyed with them....ESPN mentioned it briefly over an hour after the game was over...very lame sports coverage IMO.

Just want you guys to know....

Every true-blue baseball fan in Canada felt a little bit better yesterday as the Tigers killed the Yankees off. After a decade of watching Steinbrenner outspend everyone else in baseball 2:1 and the cash-strapped Blue Jays 4:1, it was a real pleasure!

Go, you Tigers!

Hello New York - Goodbye Yankees.

Well if you new age loons from the left coast happen to get by St. Louis (not likely), you'll meet up with the OTHER NY team who is sure to send you back to San Diego with your granola bars.

Hello New York - Mets win!

Hello New York - Goodbye Yankees.

Sorry about your Padres heywood...but at least the Chargers showed the Steelers what 4 quarters of football is all about.

I agree about the Yankees propaganda and ESPN's feeding into it all. They seemed to be Steinbrenner-sympathizers when they kept talking of Torre's possible termination because the Yankees haven't won the World Series in 6 years!...lol... what about the Cubs?!, Rangers? etc,..

I played baseball all through college (even played for a Div1 school) and enjoy much of the legacy that IS the Yankees, but enough of the Yankees already. You'd think SteinBrenner and the Yankees invented the game the way they garner coverage.

rant over.
