Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I dont understand threads like these, people buy IL-2 (AEP) becuase its a SIM, if you want less realism go play CFS. And the majority of the community are striding to make the game as accurate as possible.

Hmm so we can exspect that il2 aep stays a sim ?

After all SWOTL can be a real alternative ? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

High Ground is not only more agreeable and salubrious, but more convenient from a military point of view; low ground is not only damp and unhealthy, but also disadvantageous for fighting.

crazyivan1970, how is the situation at the moment? Do we have already a censured Il2 Board, are we even already a part of a propaganda?
I'm neither German nor Americans, but were im living im allowed to say my opinion, at least when the situation is hard like this.
Oleg the big head of this Game made his statement:
Quotation Oleg Maddox: _Users were crying for non-realistic and non-historical and finally they got it...(01.07.04)

And i think im not the only one who's hardly dissapointed at the momenent, when i bought this game (its not free) i was thinking i spent the money for a good sim, and this isn't the case anymore.

So you should see that many il2 player will react in such a way. You should have a bit understandig for this. Im not at all a fan of this censurship propaganda. Everyone knows the thruth so it make no sense anymore to delete the threads and reactions of il2 buyers.

There was neither a chance of resurrecting a war nor a chance to discuss mature.
Because you locked it.
Where I live, this is censorship. And where I live, we have some experiance with that... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Aww come on guys, this board has always been censored. Read the rules: "....content may be edited or deleted at Ubi's sole discretion...." You all agreed when you signed up, what's the beef?

Poll Question:
Quotation Oleg Maddox:
_Users were crying for non-realistic and non-historical and finally they got it...(01.07.04)

Oleg, you will convert this in the Patch 2.04 ?, make the Fun-Game to a Flight-Sim

Choices:

make the Planes realistic as possible

Play as it is

so why do you delete this thread ? I can´t see any flaming there, and if so, then delete most of the threads in RR and GD too; f.e. LA7 is undermodelled, or cal.50 won the war
As a Moderator you have to balance both sides but obviously you react instantly when a fanboy cry "ban him" and close your eyes when they spread their fairy tales out of the world.

I don't have to balance anything, see here (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=329107745) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

That aside, the mods we have simply do not have time to spot every problem on the boards without abandoning their entire real life, families, work, eating & sleeping. They do the best they can within the time available. It's in our best interest as a community to not fight their decisions in public, it takes time away from that they would otherwise be using to check on the very stuff you're complaining about.

If you have a beef about some post or other, provide a mod with links by private topic. If you have a beef with how a mod has handled something you've started or believe has a place on the boards, ask the mod why and if you can repost in a different fashion that wont cause him or Ubi problems. On a number of occasions I've invited topic starters to restart topics I've locked provided they rephrase it without accusations of bias or flaming other community members. This is not always practical though where a topic has become particularly sensitive.

Reposting exactly the same topic after a lock is guaranteed to get another lock or a deletion and is likely to get at the very least a temporary ban. This is true on all forums and in real life, so I don't understand why you expect it to be different here.

This is all very simple.

To be a member here, you must abide by the rules of the board. One of those rules is that representatives from UbiSoft (the moderators) may censor or delete what you post.

If you don't beleive that, read the flippin terms of service. If you don't like it, no one is holding a gun to your heads to post here!

Seriously, it's time to grow up for some members. This is not a Republic, it's not a Democracy, and no, it's not open for discussion either. You have essentially joined a Club by being a member here. If you don't obey the rules of the club, you pay the consequences. If you don't like how the Club is run, you leave, or learn to get along with the Club rules. Your own Country's Laws do not apply here, I am afraid, and you agreed to that little oddity by becoming a member.

There is zero grounds for complaint when something is censored here.

You gave up the right to be free from censorship on this board when you signed up for membership. There is nothing to discuss on the matter!

You know its an honest reply but why isn't it self-evident?

The thread Ivan locked had the of a potential flame war, you may not have sensed that but I understood his judgment. Maybe it would have turned out ok, maybe not...but it was his decision. From his experience here which is much more than yours he's trying to keep it civil to the best of his abilities. That's all, he's only human and a regular member like the rest of us. Remember, all of his time here is completely voluntary, he doesn't get paid a cent.
