I have the pre-release demo and you really need a strong machine to run it.
Looks good and fun The demo have only one map, one mission for 670 mb..
They keep many things from the COD and it's good.
Wil play it more than the arcade BF2

Is not Call of Duty 2 just as arcadish as BF42 2? If you want 'realism' in a FPS try Red Orchestra. I think it is more 'realistic' then eith of the above???

I always enjoyed COD1... shall I wait for COD2, or just get Red Orchestra now

Now if only I had a hope in Hell in running it................

I've been just staring absentmindedly at the screenshots since it was shown at E3, and its just soooooooooo pretttttttttttty! I can't wait to play it. The realistic environmental "weathering" technology looks very interesting as well, as does the purported non-linear gameplay (a big improvement, no doubt).

The bloom effects in DX9 mode have brought even dual 7800s to their knees. This is a problem that will be fixed with the full version. For now, enable the "force DX7" mode. The only thing that disappears is the HDR lighting...everything else looks the same, only it runs smooth as butter.

Also keep in mind that the demo is graphically capped to keep the download size reasonable. It will actually look MUCH better in the full version.
