No doubt that there are many issue's regarding sound in fb. Such issues as hearing other aircraft while your engine is running, radio chatter from ?, and a weak sound engine. So, are you content, or would you like to see a few change's introduced in SOW, while hopefully there is still time<form action="http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums" method="POST" name="VOTE">

I've never really been bothered by the engine sounds inthis sim because I've never been in the cockpit of any of these planes and I've no clue what the engines sound like. As they say, ignorance is bliss. But one thing I think is important is that you can't be able to hear other aircraft's engines while in your cockpit with the engine running.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I think SS is saying that you shoudln't be able to hear the engines of other aircraft while in your cockpit with the engine running.

Well, it is true that engine's of other aircraft shouldn't be heard but, having only the hum of your own aircraft and an occasional radio chatter makes for a very very boring flight, regarding sound.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Ah,and maybe some dancing girls on the dashboard would be a perfect solution, besides hearing the other's engines for not to be bored... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/353.gif

Please, think about the thread subject carefuly,we're looking for immersion, not for enjoying cheating. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Sound has always been this sim's crutch. With digital technology these days you would think having a Corsair sound like a Corsair instead of a lawnmower would be possible. The P51 and Spit dont sound like a Merlin, etc.

If you cant improve the sounds then open it up for third party development and let some of the talent on the web improve it for free.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I have onboard soundcard, and I don´t get everything out of the sounds, but all I can say, when you have good set of headphones or speakers, you don´t have to complain. Turn up the volume and you don´t feel that you fly a lawnmover. For example P-38 makes one lovely sound. And so does 109. The problem is that they don´t sound like their real counterparts, but they truelly sound like aeroplanes, not like lawnmovers.
