Is there any cockpit indicator in the F4U to tell you if your tailwheel is locked or unlocked? I tried locking and unlocking it several times while looking at the cockpit controls and lights, but didn't see anything change.

Tailwheel lock is for noobs. I don't even think I have it mapped.

To answer your question, no.

Locking the tailwheel is listed in the pre-takeoff check list in the Corsair (and most of the WWII aircraft).

The tailwheel locking handle is a small "T" shaped handle and is located on the lower left panel next to the seat pan. It does not move when you hit the lock tailwheel key in the game.
