If you know where to look.

[Removed by Vigil]

PS: It's AMAZING. One of, if not THE BEST soundtrack to a game or film that I have EVER HEARD!! I plan on purchasing it as well.

I've had it for a while now, and Jesper Kyd outdid himself. Again.

I agree. This is probably one of his best yet. I personally don't like some of the hitman stuff, but overall he is amazing.

I enjoy the Hitman soundtracks, we need more dark ambience. Not sure I totally agree with the modernisation of ACII's music though... I know the Reneissance was the birth of the modern age, but electric guitars and other electronically-generated sounds don't seem to blend in. AC1's soundtrack was more authentic. Still, I'm getting used to it.

Jesper Kyd's certainly done a graet job on it again, always liked his stuff.

Just a reminder though guys, YouTube links are fine but any other links or "hints" about where to get this soundtrack illegally will be removed.

Ubi.Vigil, I have a question about this.

Everyone who pre-ordered the Black Edition, and paid for it, are already legal owners of the soundtrack, thus being allowed to download it.

While I would never download the soundtrack without knowing for sure if it's legal or not, out of respect for Jesper Kyd and Ubisoft, this does make me wonder though.

Any chance of a clarification for this?

Well, I think the electic music parts are for Desmond's part, with Lucy (what do you say about a Lucy fanclub?), Rebecca, Shaun, and the other unknown Assassins and their friends.

I'm gonna say, still frowned upon. Since you paid for it with the stipulation that it would be given to you on the 17th. Not today. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

With that said, I finished listening to the last cd this morning on my way to work, SPECTACULAR is all I can say!!

No it isn't, that's the track that plays on the Official AC2 website (http://assassinscreed.uk.ubi.com/assassins-creed-2/), the E3 trailer music can be listened to on the widget site. And the E3 trailer music isn't included in the game's soundtrack because... well, it's not part of the game's soundtrack.

Not all of it, in fact most of the ACII music (when playing as Ezio) have some kind of electric instrument playing. Stealth, Notorious, Chariot Chase, Venice Escape, Florence Escape... the list goes on. They all sound brilliant though.

"Ezio's Family" can be heard while Ezio and Frederico are talking. "Heart" (P.S., it may be Hearth, I've seen it listed both ways, also could be Earth, who knows.) sounds a lot like "Ezio's Family", but has a more action-like feel, probably played during beginning missions. If you managed to catch the leaked game play footage that was released and then taken down, you could hear it.

It is heart. and I agree the two sound very similar. I really like them :P

You know what? Looking at this now, I'm just going to go ahead and wait until I get the soundtrack CD in the Master Assassin's Edition http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. Then, we can decide on what the name of the song is.

No offense but you could given us a spoiler alert. I've never watched the leaked footage because I didn't want to know what happens, and I don't think I'm the only one.

On topic, as someone mentioned before, Hearth, Ezio's Family and Venice Rooftops, all have a similar melodies. I like it. It unifies the soundtrack

Yeah, sorry about that, didn't think it was that much of a spoiler. I changed the post, so there shouldn't be any problem now. Thanks for pointing that out. And I correct myself, on "Hearth" (Earth, Heart, etc.). "Venice Rooftops" is the song that is played instead during opening missions. I must have missed that from the leaked songs on Youtube.

Does anyone think that several different names have been released for the song just to create interest in what the song is and how it sounds?

I think Ezio might relocate his mum & sister to a safehouse in Venice, judging from the similarity of Ezio's Family and Venice Rooftops... unless they mean Ezio's underground family.

And I found the music used in the original teaser: it starts about 33 seconds into Approaching Target 2.

The entire soundtrack has been released on Youtube, go take a lookie at it. If anyone finds the music that's played during the TGS trailer, I'd much appreciate it.

Actually the song from the trailer is in the soundtrack, its called "Dream of Venice." If you listen to it you will pick up certain parts of the song that they used for the trailer.
