Any of you oldtimers still have it and/or into online games. Just re-loaded for sh*ts & giggles and had a great time offline. Lots of the stuff we are used to is gone, lol but it is still a good game.
Anyone interested just reply.

Haha, been trying to load it this am(vista no like it).Still tryin'. Is the Ubicom still alive? (waves of nostalgia). Yeah it's a good game that people want to play it years later and the Ubicom servers were great fun. Hey, well get 'tween an old dog and his meat. I'll shut-up and keep trying. Cya l8tr Oldtimer.

Yes, I like it. Don't play it too much these days, but it's well worth a go for those who haven't yet...

It's fun. The sounds are better than in FB (IMO), the planes turn much better (unrealistically though, I'm sure), and there is a general good feeling of speed too.

I still remember the first mission. Flying to no where over an endless green landscape I thought, testing the controls, the plane set to invunerability, not knowing when to take off, just going with the flow and listening to the commands and trying to keep up with the squadron lagging way behind like a lost puppy.

Finally after 20 mins, the enemy is encountered and you are firing at what appears to be small yellow bumble bees to finally realize they are German fighters. You fend em off after taking massive flak and score a kill or 2 then head on back with the squadron and crash land.

Yes the memories are as clear as if it was yesterday.

I copied the original campaigns into 46 and they work nicely plus you get the latest graphics. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I have it on my HD, still a great game. Occasionally I'll load it up for a quick spin.

You do know that the original campaigns already came with '46, right? I copied my pilot from the original to 1946 (very carefully) and finished up the Luftwaffe campaign.

Let me know if it runs on the vista, I never thought of that and I am going out of town for a few weeks and usualy play 46 on laptop with Vista. If it works Ill load it up.
Funny thing is I have 3 copies of the original cause they came in various box sets.

Yep,

Allot of improvements in FB - 1946
BUT
The flight models are not so dumbed down and generic.

I'd still be playing it if it supported TrackIR other than mouse mode. Great vibe.
I have the old, large box version, always loved that box art.
