They have a remarkable amount of information to put on one disk; it seems like it is the audio that is giving them problems (NPC speak many different languages).
There are two things to consider with this though:
1: The devs never said they COULDN'T fit this on one disk, they just said that was a challenge of developing for the 360
2: If they are having trouble getting this game to fit on the disk, just imaging how freakin huge this game must be http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I like that point but I am kind of fearful for the inevitable sequel. You know what developers do. "We made the areas twice as big as in the first game." Uhh and how could you do this if you had a hard time fitting the 1st Assassin's Creed onto a 360 disc? (Lets hope with the whole fitting issue they don't just jump ship to the PS3 with its bigger Blu-Ray storage although I read here that PS3=memory problems 360=disc storage.) :-(

The memory problem with the PS3 though is just the fact that people really don't know how to develop for the PS3 yet http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I think the "problem" is getting overblown, now.
