OK. I've braced my self. I've toughend up my callouses. I'm ready for ya'll.

Full Real/Hard: shows what a good pilot you are/how much more brave you are/is the only settings a "serious" pilot will use.
Wonder Woman is: for noobs/unrealistic/unfair.

What's the big deal here? How many great community folks might we not have if Oleg hadn't scaled the game. How intimidating is it to start a game where you fail to hit anything your first 20 times out in the QMB and in a campagin you can't even get the plane off the ground?
When I started playing the original IL-2 I used
"Wonder Woman" cuz it was so d*mn pretty!
Now the only time I fly out of cockpit is Air Racing where Situational Awareness is vital when surrounded by 5 flyers all wanting to be ahead of you.
I go on FR servers and have fun. I go on other servers and have fun with padlock on, externals on, which in fact I prefer becuase FB is still so d*mn pretty!
I know the argument that it's an unfair advantage to use these aids. Maybe so but when I go on an FR server I don't complain that I'm not as good as the experienced FR guys.
"You guys have an unfair advantage!"
And they will tell me to find a "noob" server.
I don't mind if the server allows padlock/externals/no cockpit. I fly the way I want. Often I fly FR in these servers as they use maps/planesets I like. If I'm flying FR and another pilot isn't, and as a result I get shot down, I guess I'll have to improve my skills. It's my opinion that a really good pilot has the real advantage, not wether not they're using 'aids'. A really good pilot can still knock them down but might get bounced. Hmmm...that happened to even the best pilots in real life.

I suppose Germany would have listened if Britain had said "Bloody hell chaps, your Messer pilots got all that experience in Spain, why it not fair really now, is it? Be a good chap and send us your rookies."

My 2 kopecks worth.

I agree.

Play whatever seetings you enjoy playing.

IMO it equates to debating which colour you prefer, or what kind of music you like. If you love it, Great!! It doesn't mean someone else has to.

If only this would be the end of it.....
