View Full Version : Graphics corruption on map in 3.03m?

I seem to be getting some odd texture corruption on the maps in 3.03m which look like some of the GUI textures.

My install is FB+AEP+patches+PF+patches to 3.02bm then 3.03m on top.

Anyone seen anything similar?

Have you tride unziping the patch again?

The thing that I keep getting is in perfect mode... The Concrete colored runways disappear & then reappear. very bothersome when your trying to find the runway in low visibality.
I have tried the 4.10, 4.11 & 4.12 ati drivers with same results.. this was happening before I reformatted & reinstalled XP Home & is still happening. now using the 4.12 drivers.
I have various settings in the game Setup.EXE and all differrent types of ati settings & monitor settings. In Excellent it does not happen, but the water is to darn dark in excellent setting. very hard to fly low ...no depth perception...

P-4, 3.00 hz, 2 gigs of pc ddr 3200 ram, ATI X800 Pro, SB Audigy 2, 480 watt power supply.
Bios is all up to date.
running PF+FB+AEP 3.03M

No, I haven't tried unzipping the patch again as yet.

Something similar happened to me. This is what seemed to be happening, but I can't verify it for sure. If I created a map in FMB in an older version (e.g. 3.0) and tried to play it then I'd get corruption. Furthermore, after I played this map, all maps would have corruption until I restarted PF. I recreated all of my old maps from scratch and haven't had a problem since. This could all be a huge coincidence, but I used to have big problems and now I have none. Strange bug ... go figure.
