Greetings.
I noticed that SOME of you are being a little bit too relaxed and allow themself a little bit too much. Not going to fly, be sure.

Either you going to treat each other with respect, especially newcommers....or i will see you in my office and it wont be pretty.

There are tons of new people coming into this community and i SOME of you leaving bad taste even in my mouth... i am not talking what kind of impression newcomers will have.

Majority of this community are adults, so let`s not forget it and act like ones. Remember, these forums exist for communication and questions answers. Don`t disapoint people with rudness and offencive behavior.

Thank you for your attention.

I don't know, they struck me more as uptight than "relaxed." http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif But seriously, let's all make a big effort to be reasonable and not bite each others' noses off.

I agree 100%. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

Yep, those guys don't even use the right smileys.

I'm amazed of how many times the rude expression "WTF" appears around here lately. C'mon, let's be civilized. Not everybody can be as handsome as me, so you all should channel your envy to positive efforts... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Look after the rookies... they will be our wingmen tomorrow! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Agreed. I was reading a post today, forget exactly what is was about. But someone posted and called this guy an idiot because the answer was in the manual. No need to call anyone an idiot because they would rather get an answer from a community member with more experience than their own. I'm like Hunter. I'd ban and ask questions later. This sim went gold before the release. That means there are going to be some new community members coming around and asking questions. They don't need to be called "an idiot" for asking questions that may be answered in the manual or wherever. Thank you Ivan for stepping up and address this kind of behavior.

Hi,

Why don't you make your first port of call the general discussion room with the 'Nazi' comments being thrown about? I'm sure that's bound to turn newcomers off more than a fresh turd in their inbox.

Cheers,
Norris

Thanks Ivan for addressing this. I remember when I was new (still am concidering how many posts you guys have compared to me) and how everyone was very nice to me. It made me stay around where in other forums it drove me away.

Thats why I have been vocal about sticking up for people who have been asking civilized questions and get attacked. I guess you could just call me the guy who sticks up for the nice people. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well, i'm a total newcomer to this community (coming from BF1942, RTCW, etc) and I have to say that this forum seems to be the best I've found. Sorry to say that I discovered the IL-2 series TWO WEEKS before PF was released! But, I'm enjoying the game immensely and have found these boards helpfull.

I've seen a few flames, and was targetted for one on my very first post (lol), but all in all seems to be a great community. Coming from BF, RTCW and the like, the flames I've seen here seem extremely easy to stomach.

What I do like is that this community has a great relationship with the developer and a liason that will keep it all together. Anyway, hope to see you all in the skies soon. I'm still practicing take-off and landing on carriers.

So to all, HELLO!

New players are the life blood of this game and I simply hate the term "noob" and think all of us to one degree or another are "new" to this game. As a matter of fact, the more you learn about this game, the less you seem to know. Only the truly ignorant can call themselves experts at this game!

I concur; lots of people love a good debate, but all too easily it can degrade into a simple argument.

I am glad it was mentioned. I am one happy customer and I am also very pleased to see more people are joining the PF community. 90% of my time flying PF so far has been single player taking off and landing from Carriers with all the different USN planes.

Next I'll get to work on the British Seafire and Corsair variants, and then I'll hop in the Japanese types and see how I can do with carrier operations with them.

Carrier practice is as much fun as combat to me. Maybe thats because I've seen too much online combat...? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
