i've not played SH3 in nearly a month because i have been playing The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion and have not played anything else in that time, it really is an unforgivable crime and is the reason i have not been around these forums much in the last few weeks.

I do apologise and i must finish at least one career, i spent months on one and i'm only up to midway 1942. Back into it i go tomorrow.

I took some time off from the game when I started computer school. I think I didn't play for at least 6-8 weeks! In that time things really changed: the NYGM, Grey Wolves and IuB 1.03 were released. During that time I still hung out in the forum, just didn't play. I just started playing again the last few days and really enjoying playing with the NYGM Tonnage War mods.

I have just picked up two new games which will compete for my time: Red Orchestra and Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg.

That makes two of us.

TES:IV Oblivion has enveloped me into a state of nothingness. I don't remember when I slept a full 8 hours, my diet consists of hastily prepared ham sandwiches and Mountain Dew, my work performance lacks and my family doesn't remember what I look like. I've endured these conditions before... when I purchased SHIII in April, last year.

Sooner or later the hunger for sinking tonnage will become to tough to tame and the virtual sea will beckon me once again.

I'm a big fan of the "Blitzkrieg" series...if you like that you should also look at the "Codename: Panzer" series also...

Here's how I've been playing...

Play a career, then go to another game for awhile. Start another career at a harder setting and different goals (med, artic career, etc.)

Right now I have "Pirates" waiting to load after this career.

Im guitly of neglecting SH3 too, I just installed GW which was great, but the broken fog and missing sun and moon kinda pissed me off.

Right now im hooked on battlefeild 2 (almost a Sergant now), its a really great game once you get in to it and I love the team work involved,(as newbie you die every 30 seconds), I mostly play as an Anti tank soldier on Stike at karkland.... great fun.
I now on average get more kills that deaths http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Once I get promoted Im going to unlock that juicy semi automatic shotgun for the Anti tank kit.

What i really want though, is a good WW2 military sim like Operation Flashpoint, or a highly polished WW2 Real Time Strategy , (Im not a fan of Turn Based games like blitzkrieg) However, the Blitzkrieg Mod for C&C Generals was great, except you couldnt find anyone playing it online and the AI was messed up for single player..... a shame, I would pay good money for a modern game of that kind.

Celeon does not like that he must unlock the weapons even for LAN play. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif

And the Euro Force weapons suck ! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You guys make me smile, i love you like brothers http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I havent played for many months, mainly from time constraints. Working, working, chasing girls, getting slapped then going back to work http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Im waiting for the new one and hoping it fixes much of the second one also. That would be very cool! I keep wanting to have another thrash on it but i know you need a few hours to do so. Now summers coming i love to be out in the sun, makes me smile. I wonder if i should get a sun lamp in my room instead...

I never really got into online gaming, i just can't get round to trying it properly, it'd take up too much of my time to even begin to rival the people who play online. They Play all day, everyday until they are Demi-gods at their chosen game, and i just can't spare enough time. I'll always remember trying the original Unreal tournament online, after i was fragged instantly about 5 times after spawning, i just thought "This isn't any fun" and never tried it again.

Celeon and gf are playing Tomb Raider Legend at the moment Thumbs Up

Is that any good celeon, gameplay wise, not just fun looking at Lara Crofts bum running through miles and miles of corridors http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

I am currently looking for a new game to play, i have been thinking about buying that new game from Monolith, the makers of F.E.A.R. Condemned Criminal origins, but haven't read a proper review of it yet, maybe in next issue of PC Gamer.
