Battlefields.com gave BoE 8/10. ABout the only things they held against it are the fact that you can fly campaigns over Europe with DCG, and there are lots of West Front skins for download already. Other than that they like it a lot.

So do I for whatever that's worth.

Where can you buy Battle Over Europe, by Just Flight (Matrix Games) I can't find it at their site or anywhere else for sale. Thanks

Is that add-on worth to buy it?

BoE is skins and western front missions. For the skins of course it isn't worth, as you have loads of them for free online. Maybe if you play offline extensively it may be worth.

I don't own it so I can't give my opinion about the missions/campaigns included. What I've read is frames are low because of the high number of planes per mission.

IMHO it is good.

As for the number of planes in the air - it's a DGen created campaign so the numbner of planes can be altered in your config.ini file.

Can you explain that a little?

Your post says that one thing they held against it is "the fact that you can fly campaigns over Europe with DCG,"

Do they mean that with a DCG download you can already do that (not really a simple as it sounds for our 56.6 friends (read-Chuck)), or am I missing something?

I ask because the name of the product is quite clear: "Battle over Europe"

How can the fact that the product in fact delivers a battle over Europe be held against it when it's exactly what the program does? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif Did they overlook that fact? It's like saying FB isn't very good because Il*2 already did that. Personally I would never hold the fact that a product delivers what it claims to against it.

I own BOE and I like it. BOE adds on-line and off-line campaigns for the the P-47 and P-51 (and supposedly the P-38 when the patch comes out). You can also fly against these planes as Germans in late war 109s, 190s as well as 262s.

Last night we got together as a squad and flew a BOE on-line campaign for 5 hours using the P-47 in an Ardennes winter campaign. Great fun.

There is also a Pacific campaign, but we have tried it only once. It didn't work very well. Not sure why. No big deal as the European stuff will keep us busy for months.

I give it two paws up.
