Well, as the beta ends soon, I'm also going to replay AC1 and ACII before Brotherhood comes out.
(It will take me the month because I have a lot of schoolwork and such) I was thinking about the story, and I realized that this game has a REALLY messed up storyline... Here's my timeline for my thoughts
AC1 (beginning): Ok... Guy goes into machine with genetic memories. Cool idea, I like it...
AC1: (middle): So I have to assassinate historical figures who are corrupt... nice.
AC1 (end with PoE and such) Why the heck is this old guy splitting into five people with a shiny ball? This is really weird.

And I was basically raising an eyebrow throughout ACII.

So what do you guys think about the story? I like it, but it is... Rather confusing.

It's only an illusion, created by the Piece of Eden.

I wish I could re-play the first two, but I don't own AC1 ( I played a friend's version) and my AC2 is heavily scratched.

It would be money spent on games I've already played, leaving me with (probably) not even enough to buy brotherhood.

But I will try to borrow the games for a day from a friend, install both to my hard drive and play like that.

You can't scrap together sixty bucks in a month? I think you have bigger problems than this.

But yeah, I really love the story to to this game. I haven't found it confusing yet. The only thing that confused me is the history.

'twas my xbox that did it, like so:

It freezes when trying to load up any save game slot. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Well, legally, you're not old enough to puchase the games, let alone play, so I wouldn't worry too much about having enough money for Broterhood...

Ah, but I'll be 15 by the time Brotherhood comes out, and the BBFC rating is a 15.

Hey, I'm too young to play. It's not that my parents don't care, (I'm not allowed to play GTA IV) it's just they don't see what's so bad about AC1 and ACII. They also like the history aspects http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

It's not that my parents don't care. They just have common sense to know I won't go on some psychotic rampage just cause I shot someone on GTA IV.

Doesn't matter what BBFC's rating is, PEGI are doing the rating for games now, and they have rated it 18.... sorry.

@assassino: have you tried polishing out those scratches? Samething happened to my ac1 game, used a little brass polish (i think it's called "brass-o"), works fine now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

My parents don't mind. My mum actually said to me 'as long as you don't turn into a serial killer' as a joke. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

But guys, you are getting off topic now, seriously.

I found the story a bit confusing, of course, but i'm getting it now. I admit, 1 is a bit more confusing than 2, seeing as there is so much more secrecy and everything, but it's still a pretty awesome story.

I think Desmond's story progressed at a snail's pace in Ac1 but AC2 was a Massive improvement and really made it a story driven game as opposed to in a cool setting with some neat ideas.

And Ezio's life story was also far more interesting than Altair's IMO. We got to see him transform from a cocky 17 year old that takes everything for granted into a robotic revenge stabbing machine that tries to uproot a huge conspiracy. But the end of AC2 brought another huge cliffhanger, setting the scene for AC3 and perhaps Brotherhood to deliver well on the story.

My parents think I'll do that if I play GTA IV... All other games? Nope. Not even Red Dead Redemption, which is by the same company.
