By chance, because I took a look at tweakguides.com , I saw that there is a security leak in Firefox.
I will not give all the details but refer to :

http://www.boingboing.net/2005/02/06/shmoo_group_exploit_.html
and
http://secunia.com/multiple_browsers_idn_spoofing_test/

There is also a discussion going on in the Firefox forums where a few temporary solutions are given. Another solution should be to only manually type url's instead of clicking links in a website.

By the way
Tweakguides.com gives a link to a new build of Firefox which should solve it, but I downloaded it and did the test again, with the same negative result. So I think they are misinformed.

Top link, go to update 5 (Scott), then his last update. Follow the advice about Adblocker.

Thanks for the heads up, rijnton1944. I'm glad there's smart guys working for the good of all.

Nice one rijnton1944 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

I've been using FireFox for about 3 months now and
I'm well happy with it.
