I'm just respectfully asking for a best guess here. I won't whine if it doesn't come out by the time you guess on this deal. After all, I'd rather have ir right, then right now.

And please, for those who want to whine, call my brother's ex-wife and leave the development team alone! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Oh yeah, one more thing; we've all already heard the 2 week joke that I'm sure some fool will post in a reply to this honest and respectfull inquiry.

No whining here - you should expect as much from this dev. "team". This is the price you pay for poor quality control. Can we stop with the arcade fantasy and just fix what has been broke since the original release? Trim - theres a good one. Hardware Compatability - hmmm just a thought.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I would just like to clarify that the whining I was talking about was like, "please give us the patch please please", not like no bunny up there...

And maybe concentrate on real historic stuff that actually flew? Like the interiors of bombers?

Personally I prefer to be kept informed (The Internet is based on Information interchange).

I dont mind if im told something that goes pear shaped due to some uncontrollable reason.

The main thing is that I be informed.

For Example there are many people waiting on the Dedicated server, lots of $ invested in Hardware dedicated to hosting IL2.
Shouldnt they be let know how long they have to wait and plan before being able to deploy the update.
Has anything changed that will affect 3rd party software like FBDeamon?

Charos -

Bingo! Thats what I mean by quality control.

It must be a UBI thing - Even the Rainbow devs. couldnt fix the bugs from RVS before Athena. Really - What are the business dynamics like working for UBI?

I was talking to some friends the other day, and we are all in agreement...

This patch delay smells of UBI.

And the less you hear from 1C about this the more I am sure UBI is the bottleneck.

Like everyone I would like to know and dont care if its an exact date, just look how its effected the ammount of players on HL the last month I just hope they all come back

My guess is they are adding the 10 planes in the patch and correcting the bug issues in one larger patch then having 2 patchs which is why there has been a delay.

Also olegs wife just had a baby which is incrediably demanding but it just takes 2 minutes of his time to make a post on whats happening

My guess is the new baby has grabbed all of Oleg's time by the throat and he's up to his eyeballs in dirty diapers and wanders the quantum world of new fathers where events are totally out of anyone's control...... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif

wasn't it UBI who announced the patch for just after the release of AEP? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif

Must admit for the first time since FB came out I am anticipating the patch and find myself looking at the forums a couple times a day....But have to state how silly this all is at times as litterally a patch can be released and in 24hrs. folks are already whining about the next.

Fixes to known problems would be great, followed by an add on later....But I'd not be suprised if one day from the constant hammering for "more, more, more, more" if all you'd start seeing in patches were fixes, add-ons coming in the form of AEP type buy to fly releases with greater gaps in between.

Though in fairness....The pressure this go round has been less then before, still though...I'm just enjoying it.........

As to players in HL?....Well, call it spring, finals for the kids in school, etc. etc..

I've never understood the whole "free planes" deal. After all, shouldn't good work be rewarded? I believe in paying for every add-on that comes along. I guess that in the end, UBI probably does it this way to calm us punkin' eaters. It's probably their way of saying, "Look, we've tried our best to fix the game, but it can't be all things to all possible PC confingerations". "Here's a few extra planes to help calm your nerves".

I just hope the beta testers don't just play a few dogfights and compliment each other on their new custom skins and leave it at that. I hope they took a really good look at the patch. This way, maybe we will no longer have the option of locking the tail wheel on a P-38! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

I think all that we want is the truth and a little respect. This entire patch issue looks like a page from Microsoft Comcrap Simulator 3 We bought AEP with the expectation that there would be a patch and were expecting the patch just shortly after its release because because of a few missing elements. But what do we get... Not even a decent statement from the developers. Something like. " Dear customers we understand that you are waiting for the Patch and dedicated server for aces and we are sry because of the delay. Unfortunatley there were a few issues that we would like to resolve because we want you, our customers , to have the best product that we can produce. We will inform you when the patch and dedicated server will be released when we are sure that all issues are resolved " Instead we get nothing but rummors and speculation created by an absence of information and stupid two more week jokes. Please dont turn into Microsoft and BS your customer base. You have a good product to begin with , but It is not perfect and there is always room for another competitor with a superior product to step in and take you customers. We all know what happened to Microsoft Comcrap Flight sim 3. Also keep in mind that your company needs us ( your customers) more than we need you and there isn't anyone holding a gun to our heads and making us buy your product. So show us some respect. come clean, and tell us the truth .
BTW Maddox games should write a check to CrazyIvan since he is just about the only one who is keeping your customers from running off. Thanks CrazyIvan Salute to you and thanks for showing us ( The customers of IL2 FB Aces) enough resoect.

Amen to that Osirisx9!

CrazyIvan has been great, but shame on everyone else who has contributed ot this information vacuum and left us in the dark.

Osirisx9 is right that we paid for the AEP pack and certain things were not as advertised. I think we all understand delays but respect us as your paying customers by being humble and keeping us as informed as possible. Shhh happens but don't compound it.

This has all been said before, by me and others, but I do feel strongly about this so here we go again http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well I'm a newbie so forgive me I guess I don't feel "owed" yet............However, lets be frank about it. Many sims tell you.."that is how it was, sim is correct, we know...that's how the "game" is...enjoy as it stands. To buy the Gold pack now, what $50 roughly?....I'd buy it without hesitation, fly it and enjoy sans the very few glaring bugs...(163 cant take off, no ammo gunners, things of that sort). Yet in the time IL2FB has been out till now there have been numerous patches, numerous add ons as surprises (who expected V1's?)...On and on.

Naturally it will take 2 hours from the first patch release for more complaints, and more "but I want this too's".

Hey, I want it too, I also want the whole world to kiss my backside on command, be made omnipresent ruler of the universe but never have to do anything and be 18 again knowing all I know now.....Naturally all the males as my personal slaves not a proper topic for here (besides I'd just have them cleaning house anywho).

IL2FB+AEP plus all the hard work and constant attention received to date (previos patches and the like) at the whatever price I paid all toll?

Sorry, I want it but I can wait it having nothing to do with respect let alone being a "slave" to your customers "demands". Teach them a lesson...Never fly it again that'll show em http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Personally I have to say I am tired of all the asskissing and need to see the freakin patch.

My friend CrazyIvan is going to give it to me but I am sick of scanning these boards looking for the patch and most important the Dedicated Server. I realize things take time, but you can only hear 'soon' so often before you think Ubi is pulling your chain. Oleg told us patch would be out after aep "Bring it already"
