Hello,

Well, it has been reported on UBI's main page that SHIV has been released. I quote the following statement.

"Wednesday 03/21/07 - The wait has ended: Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific has finally been released! If you haven't already gotten a copy, go and pick up one now to get the limited time edition with all the great extras like the DVD documentary!"

When are the digital downloads going to be available to pre order customers?. I quote UBI again in regards to Pre-Order.
"What is a pre-order?
When a game is not yet available to retail but you would like to be one of the first to get it, you can pre-order the game and have it waiting for you when it's ready rather than you waiting for it to get to the store!"

Since the product has been released to Retail as of 03/21/2007, UBI is in violation of its own Pre-Order policy. It clearly states that Pre-Order customers will be the first to get said game. If EB in my area has this game in stock, I am going to cancel my pre-order with UBI. I tell you this as well, I will "NEVER" Pre-Order with your company again, this is a result of your companies out-right-lie to your customers in regards to Pre-Order.

I cannot promise anything, but I reached UBI regarding this question.
They promised to answer. I just hope that it won't take long.

Edit : You have to understand that I am only a Ubi customer like most of us here.

I will also never pre-order again after this catastrophe. This is ridiculous. It said buy it now! download it now! There is no download, there are no product keys. They lied to us. Plain and simple.

I am really pissed off as well. It's been nearly 12 hours past into 3/21/2007 and still no download.

What do you mean "they promised to answer?" Did you or did you not get in touch with somebody at UBI?

OK, the digital download button is now online. However this Download Button does nothing.

I've called UBI Tech support who referred me to UBI Store support (888-824-7038). The person I got was extremely UNHELPFUL and told me that it was not their problem, and that I'd have to go open a ticket with Direct2Drive.com. I already did that this morning, and they closed the ticket telling me to disable my router and firewall. What a bunch of knuckleheads. They better have this thing FIXED in the next hour or I'm cancelling my order and demanding a full refund. I don't even know if I want to bother going to the store to purchase this at retail now. This experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I may never buy another UBI product ever again.

The download button is supposed to open a pop up window.
Once more, have a look at the digital store support guidelines.

Hello,

The download button does nothing, it does not open another window. The send info button right next to it works fine. It is "NOT" on my end.

The download button has no link to it, its just a jpg graphic.

I'll chime in a little extra info...
The "Download" button is there, but is non-functional i.e. not "click-able". The "Send Info" button next to it is clickable, and works fine.
It doesn't seem to have anything to do with "pop-ups"

Yep, I just looked at the HTML source code for the account page, and there is no link code around the "Download" button, but there is link code around the "Send Info" button.

Ok, there's link code there, but it's malformed. there is no href="" in the <a ...> tag. There isn't a form <input ...> tag around it either, like there is for the "Send Info" button.

Hey all, im having the EXACT same problem the Download button is there but doesnt work what so ever. I have also been wanting to preload the game but have not been able to do so for some time now. I sent in 2 tickets but i cant seem to get anyone to respond to me. WTF is going on!!

Ok ya i called the UBI online store and the man told me in his broken english that i had to call direct 2 Drive... However there is no mention what so ever that the game is through D2D. I better be getting some credit for this!!

Could be that the Ubi Store is powered by D2D - things (acct. page, for one) look enough alike for this to be the case.
Probably just that D2D hasn't provided Ubi with a link yet... or the courier with the info stopped off for some lunch. >sigh<

Hello,

Well, at close of business day today, I will demand a "FULL" refund, never to purchase from UBISoft ever again. In New York that is in less than three hours. I do not care if this is the best Sub Sim ever to hit the market since the beginning of time. There is such a thing as company integrity, honor and respect for the customer. I do not take lightly a company that will take advantage of their customers as well as out-right-lie about pre-release downloads. I hold UBISoft accountable for any third party companies that they decided to use to handle their pre-order sales. Any glitches in their pre-sales downloads should have been worked out long before a delivery date.

I am also in the process of registering a complaint with the Attorney General's office in the State of North Carolina, as well as the Better Business Bureau.

Agreed, it doesn't seem like a proper way of doing business.
One would think that Ubi could have knocked a couple bucks off the price for us going the DD route - no materials/labor costs involved, plus a higher profit per unit. Or at least letting us have it the day that the physical units shipped out.
Personally, I'm going to be patient and keep my fingers crossed.

Hey guys, I saw this thread and I've been personally investigating the issue myself. I've encountered the same exact problem, and have contacted the necessary people to hopefully resolve the issue.

I've just sent in a request for a full refund. Seeing as the download button doesnt even work, (meaning i didnt get any activation keys), this shouldnt be a problem.... Oh well. Now i know Digital Download isnt the way to go.

I'm quickly losing what little patience I have left. I'm going to go watch Das Boot. If this thing isn't downloadable by then, I'm going to cancel my order and spend my money elsewhere.

Hey guys, I just got word from my contact that yes there was an system issue, and that it has been resolved.

I just double checked, and was able to start the downloads for the game and bonus content. Please let us know if there are any more issues. Again, thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thank goodness! I have it downloading now. Interesting enough, it's downloading through my FilePlanet download manager. Didn't know that Direct2Drive used that, but I'm thankful for it.

I would also like to suggest that this download is highly anticipated by many, and I'm sure even with massive bandwidth provided to download, that the system will be taxed. You can expect slow responses and downloads at first, until demand goes down.

I went to click on the new trailer, nothing after several attempts, so I moved on. About 5 minutes later the trailer popped up and I got to watch it. That trailer is no where near the size of this game I'm sure.

Just a heads up. All new games start out like this, but things will start to level out. Just like when a fresh patch is released for a popular game. Sometimes takes hours to get.

I am getting a little disgusted. I charged my credit card the other night to prorder the downloadable version. That went fine no prob taking my money. Now however that I changed my mind and i dont want to download it I want my god dam money back. NOTHING they have not responded to me at all. I didnt dl it i havent even looked at the download page. UBISOFT YOU SUCK ***.........I want this game but your support sucks. I would have downloaded it if you would have made it avail the day it was released instead of at your leisure......NOW SHOVE IT

HI, I just wondering when ubisoft going to publish patch 1.1(us-can dd) for sh4? Too many bugs, sir , too many ... on board this vessel!
