It's just as the title says. I hear we are getting a new flight model. I'm just a sim pilot with one goal in mind; shoot JG-54 Arnie http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I know little about the software and most specifications. Example; the little guns on my 109 kill Arnie slowly while the big ones kill Arnie quickly. Either one is acceptable to me. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Basically, what I would like for the experts to do is explain in laymens terms the differences we'll see when flying the new flight models. I think a lot of guys have the same question but don't dare post. Who wants to be called "newb" all the time.

I am the oldest "newb" here and I'm proud of it. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

Thanx in advance for those who take the time to explain.

BTW, click below for Arnie's "situation awareness" training http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It's been asked before. Beta testers say or post nothing. I admire their resolve.

We will find out the differences when the patch comes out. If I had to guess, I would say that the new flight model models flight better than the old flight model.

Very little is known about the new FM, exept that it takes a lot of new factors in flying into account.
It is suppossed to be a bit harder but not impossible to learn. Takeoffs and landings that are ridicuously easy in most planes and ridicuously hard in some planes, will be harder alltogether, as will both combat and level flight.
On the other hand this gives us n00bs a chanceto meet the crack pilots on equal terms, because we'll all suck(I've been flying thiss game since the very beginning, and I'm still a n00b)

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif You have issues man, it needs fixin http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
If I'm right, the new FM will only make you fall out of the skies faster. Last time I spoke with Oleg he said the new FM of the 109 will contain a Fritz detector, putting in motion an advanced system, resulting in a selfdestruct as$ soon as$ an Arnie flies by when a Fritz is piloting. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I marvel at the sheer possibilities of this technique. Its brilliant. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

That game is nuts btw, I tried to straffe the airfield, but somehow you can only do something constructive with it.. bah http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/354.gif

Wow, butt in the form of as-s (and ar-se) is filtered out? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

He he he, Arnie, I asked Oleg to add this in the new flight model, just to give you a chance. Hope it helps. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

Ha ha ha, actually nothing. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Arnie is a pretty cool guy. I just like to razz him. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif We flew together last year on your server and had some pretty good fights.

I noticed his tactics were opposite of mine. This year I'll move to Germany and buy a new machine. I'll be joining your squadron and plan to fly against Arnie for training and with him as a team.

I believe two pilots with opposite strengths working together is worth 3 planes. Arnie and I will make a good team me thinks, if not I'll just hunt Arnie. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Think of it like two bodybuilders that lift together. They insult each other to make their partner angry and lift more. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Arnie is cool in my books. But I'll still shoot you Arnie. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

The latest from the beta testers_____________

You will now have to tighten the safety harness on your chair before you play as the new flight model will cause you to fall out if you invert your aircraft in a negative "g" You must also remove all personal items from clothing in case of capture.Side arms will be supplied but you will have to supply your own ammo and fraternizing with the other side will get you a medal. The new model will raise the bar a little further, pun intended and the Spit will at long last be able to escape earths' gravitational pull as it did in RL. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
