G'day.

Might be I'm moving thereabouts - depends on the wife & her doctoral thesis actually - but some questions still:

1) Phil Rudd, I take it, is still kinda busy w/ AC/DC, so there's a shortage of hard-hitting drummers there, right?

2) Ermmm... the alligators ain't gonna eat me up, right? So no worries, right?

3) Any chance of really understanding anyone?

4) Or, failing that, are you guys _really_ COMING THE RAW PRAWN FROM THE BILLABONG or something like that?

I.e. do I stand a f**kin chance really?

Yeah, we'll see if this pans out - depends on my wife's future plans as I told... But looking TOTALLY forward to the possibility anyway, having never been around there before http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Movin' to Australia? Ya won't regret it m8. I visited back in 2002. It was the best experience I ever had. I went on a US gov. program, and was able to stay with a family for a few days. It's such a cool place. So many new things. Everyone I met was really approachable and laid back. A wonderful place. (Plus they've got really cool F-18's)

The gators won't get you... but the "Salties" (Salt-water Crocodiles) might.

Naaahhh crocks arn't going to eat you, nor funnelwebs, redbacks, browns or white pointers or anything else. PHd programs can be remotely supervised (I believe) through The University of New South Wales, Macquarie University (my mob) or Sydney University. Cost of living is high on the east coast of Australia, and avoid Melbourne like the plague ( gray miserable concieted place, personal experience only, (Rivalry http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif) otherwise look forward to a laid back fairly low-crime stay in a friendly climate. If your heading Sydney way let me know.

Cheers http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Thanks guys, I'm honored by your hospitality!

But this thing might still take a year or two, depending on my wife & her studies. So I'm perhaps a bit early with my questions here... but yep, I'll most certainly let you know if we happen to wander thereabouts at some point!

So thanks once more everyone & cheers! I owe you guys one http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Aah... sorry, I was a bit unclear on this point. The plan is that she's going to graduate 1st & we'll then come over for her post-doctoral work (i.e. she's joining a research group in Australia).

But anyway, lots of thanks once more for your courtesy! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
