hold on a sec... i dont know about the controller but GC's graphics are definatley not better than PS2's. If your gonna get it for one of these two consoles, get it for PS2, unless you have an xbox then get it for xbox.

Xbox or PC would be best, but for ps2 or gcn, get ps2. it has better graphics (if it is like the first one), has better controls, and is online

I have played the game on all the systems and viewed them being played side by side..

I like the Game Cube version best, when they made the GC version last they added higher rez graphics than the PS2 and GBA support so you have a less clutterd screen,
the Cube Controler makes playing the game easy to learn and more fun to play.
and the GC version runs smoother since it uses a faster programing language, do the math.

GC 489 mhz processor ATI Raidon video. Best controler.
(A True Dedicated Game machine without the DVD player)
Also uses similar but improved updated programing language similar to the N64.

PS2 200 mhz (not sure of the video card) confusing and too small controler.
(Tries to add game value by disguising a DVD player as an actual game feature when most games are actualy in CD format)
Has it's own hard to program language and a PS1 built in.
If the PS2 did'nt have backwards compatability with the PS1 games as a selling point, it would have a hard time keeping up with the competition.

Of course X-BOX version of Splinter Cell looks best because what you get is basicly the PC version of the game without the PC
(Tries to add game value by disguising a DVD player as an actual game feature when most games are actualy in CD format)
The next version of X_BOX will mimic GC and use a Raidon card instead of the Gforce card.
and the controlers not being as comfortable or as responsive to the other two systems.

So far the one that runs best Overall is the Gamecube Version.

Thanks.I'll hook it back up in 8hrs.Your right about the PS controler. It is a hassle. The GCN con feels better in the hands & is faster to learn moves on.Thanks.

Gamecube has better graphics and controller. The whole issue about the graphics is no question, since Gamecube is more powerful and newer, it obviously has better graphics. I don't know why anyone would think otherwise. Gamecube has the sticky bomb thing, but I would rather have the extra levels on PS2. If you are talking about the first one. But, since I own a gamecube, that is what Im getting.

I own a GCN but, for the extra Levels I " WAS " going to buy the GCN Plug & Play that, you attach to the bottom. You put in the GBAN Splinter Cell Game. That will unlock the extra levels w/o having a GBAN.Then, after I added all of that up it would be $ 145 at Best Buy.

That unlocks extra levels for the GBA.

XyZspineZyX

No,the plug & play I'm talking about, you put in the GBAN games into it & play them on your TV.w/out a GBAN. the plug & play will unlock the extra levels it talks about on the GCN Splinter Cell package.I know it's not on the GCN but,I can unlock the GBAN levels w/ the plug & play.

I also have both games for GBA and CG, finishing the GameCube version unlocks new levels on the GBA, but finishing the GBA version Unlocks i believe one new level and a new costume, i have the hard to find version of the hint guide that also covers GC and GBA and it tell what unlocks when both are conected.
but things are unlocked in each of the games when the other ones are completed.

I know for each area completed in the GC version unlocks a Secret Mission Level in the GBA version.

suposedly when you finish the GBA version you get a new set of missions on the CG.(some maps are the same but with alternate missions)
and when all the GBA levels and hidden missions are unlocked somthing else is unlocked on the CG.

time to go, 4:30 am here

I'll have to find the book later and leave a more accurate note on what is unlocked but i heard from a friend at prima that not all the conection secetets were put in the book, somthing about a screw up and not all coppies list
what is unlocked on the GC.

Buy it for XBOX. It is already out. The graphics are best. It has the best online service. It costs $150. There is a ranking saystem. Why do you people think gamecube has better graphics than XBOX.

If the Gamecube version of SCPT is online like some people who have said it earlier on this topic, can anyone tell me where you found that out?
