ahhhhhhh so I start The Beta and I play a few Games and oh how the Human Mind continues to disappoint me, people go on rooftops and stay there waiting, and when you go to assassinate them BOOOOOOOM a tripwire Bomb.. WTF ??? that is not how its played.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Yeah, I'm surprised how many times I've been roofed in the beta. I've been hit by the tripwire bomb next to the lift, and I'll give them credit to being creative, but it is frustrating.

My tactic has been to approach from the ground and go for a hidden/silent/incognito kill, but it seems there are a number of players who just run up to me getting 100/150 point kills, or attack from the roof.

Every now and then I'll get a game with players who want to approach their target with stealth, but that does seem to be very few right now.

this just goes to show how the Human mind can be so Manipulative

Guards and crowds should be added into the cities. That way, stealth would be more of a necessity in order not to provoke either.

Why didn't I remembered this before? It seems actually a good idea http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

I like that idea. Having guards on the rooftops who stun you if you stay up there for too long? It seems weird, but it would be an effective way to reduce roofing.

I don't think it seems weird, I think it seems more like SP and in that more kind of more realistic. It's e very good idea

I like the idea of guards on the roof. They could shoot down roofers if they are up there too long.

I'm skeptical about guards on the ground. What exactly would they do? If a player is not stealthy would they be able to fight back, or need to run and hide? If the guards seek you out, maybe your purser would have knowledge of your exact position, like the the Vision Loss bonus.

Sadly many online gamers are d-bags and go only for kills.
I like in brotherhood someone has like 10 kills and i have like 4 and im 2000 points ahead http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Rooftop guards is a great idea

I don't get why people do that. Why go for kills instead of points? Kills are useless, points are everything.

The rooftop guards sound like a nice idea. Though I'm not really that familiar with MP, even I got annoyed by people staying on the rooftops.

Roof guards sound pretty cool actually, but would they chase after you, or simply shoot you and initiate a long range stun?

That's what I love about the kill system it uses, quality over quantity, and quality kills make me feel more deadly/assassin like.

I swear I heard someone say the roof guards were in the ACB beta.It doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Stay for about 10-15 seconds and any guard could shoot you with say a crossbow and stun you briefly for 5 seconds and you can only stun and run.

I would rather use the SP mode but when you get shot, instead of loosing squares, you die or get stunned depending on where the arrow hit you. You could kill while being chased by guards but when a guard spots you, imo the incognito meter should go as low as it can and your pursuer should be able to spot you too.

I would repost this in the AC:R beta (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/3951026049) threads. It will also help the Ubi staff focus on any changes needed. You'll also receive more feedback as that thread base is designated for AC:R
