I hope some very bright people can presude the people in charge to make some maps of TIMOR/Darwin Area. It would be great to recreate the battles that were fought there. Australia VS the might of the Japanese. also if that is possible how about one of Morotai island area?

in the VOW2 online war we used the Gulf of Finnland map for that http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Sosnovy Bor faked Darwin , Lavansaari Timor http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

the Spitfire Vc (2canon) vs A6M3 fights were a lot of fun - not always positive for the Spitpilots http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
looking forward to 4.06, so i can also add a mission with Ki-43-II and Ki-21 .
also the IJAAF attacked Darwin area one or twice.

From a quick Google search (First item):
In all, the Japanese attacked Darwin 64 times and the last attack occurred in late 1943

Yeah, you'll have to use another map and your imagination to re-create the scenario...I don't think there will be much more work on FB/PF after the next crop of updates. I am trying to make some Labuan/Borneo missions and will use either the Singapore map (K.L = Kuching)or part of New Guinea. Researching the misions is quite interseting as well...FMB is your friend.
It would be nice to have Darwin, tho......

Darwin was bombed once .. that was it. Unless teh japanese took Moresby there was not a huge threat to Darwin

Other than that there were a few recce flights by recon planes.

that is maybe correct - but military facilities around Darwin, mainly Airfields, were attacked by japanese bombers , Navy and two times Army, several times.

sure , having the size of Australia in mind, "around" can mean different distances there, than here in Europe http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
