ignored even?

i think i may have been blind all these months to a sexeh little plane that deserves more attention.

ive been flying it more often, and several things come to mind: excellent diving characteristics, good low speed handling, plenty of ammo.

perhaps most of all is a little tougher construction, makes all the difference.

dont fly it like a zero, fly it like a speed plane that can turn when it needs to ive found.

hmmm and clouds help too.

dont believe me?

see for yourself.

Respect... (http://rapidshare.de/files/1598701/Ki61.ntrk.html)

So I presume the Ki-61...or the P-40. They are both underrated by many...

Since hovering the mouse over the "Respect.." link at the bottom of you post shows a file called "Ki61.ntrk.html", I'm guessing you meant the Ki-61. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Mackane had a good guess, though, I think a lot of people underestimate the F4F. I like it, too!

yeah ok so it was a mini test, it actually worked quite well, a few people brought up their favs.

yes its an ntrk file, showing a decent fight against p400s in my trusty ki61.

i went on to get two more kills on that flight.

remarkable for a plane i had written off as a slow straight line fighter.

By far my favorite plane since 3.01, oddly the Ko not the heavy gunned Hei, second to it the Ki-43....

However, I find it very cruel and unfair you show a .ntrk of me due to odds forced out of my Ki-61 into my first flight in a P400....bassid.....hehe.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif ...Welcome to the IJA http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I agree totally.

The Ki 61 Ko is far and away my favorite plane in the sim right now. Second is my trusty P 40, which I really don't fly much anymore.

I have been seduced by a beautiful Oriental.

Much respect, Tony is far and away my favorite Ja ride. She's like an early 109, only w/o the high-speed elevator problems.

I'll stick with my Corsair. It might not be underrated, but I really like it. Great plane!!

s for underrated planes I'd say the early marks of the Lagg 3 those things are downright dangerous when flown right!

due to odds forced out of my Ki-61 into my first flight

aah.... i agree its no kill, not sporting at all when its not someone used to the ride.

though you nearly had me a few times... thank god for small mercies in the form of unfamiliar aircraft (and clouds?) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
